Stormtrooper's Rule #1: Listen and enjoy "Empire Today" every morning before going to work
  • Meanwhile, Officers are out to get each other to get a promotion.

in my opinion the tarkin doctrine has always had one HUGE glaring flaw. people who fear you will grow to hate you, and the longer that fear goes on the more they will hate you. that hate will cause unrest and eventually rebellion. so in my opinion the entire idea is ultimately self defeating.
  • I'm still processing how Clones are getting replaced and how Kamino has been decommissioned

The bit about keeping their armour clean despite the tactical disadventage actualy reminds me of a Quote from 40K that fit pretty well to the train of thought: "The uniforms of the Imperial Guard are camouflaged in order to protect their wearers by hiding them from sight. The principle is that what the enemy cannot see he cannot kill. This is not the way of the Adeptus Astartes. A Space Marine’s armour is bright with heraldry that proclaims his devotion to his Chapter and the beloved Emperor of Mankind. Our principle is that what the enemy can see, he will soon learn to fear…" -Chaplain Aston, of the Fire Hawks 10th Company

In an ironic twist, the beings meant to replace clones became clones themselves. Not in genetics, but in the way they were supposed to act and look. The soldiers of the empire were individuals but they were taught to ignore all individuality.

Interestingly the stormtroopers facelessness made it easier for people to kill them as they wouldn't recognize them as people

I just had a theory. Now Tipoca City has been destroyed, what will happen when news gets out to clones across the galaxy? That was their home. We saw how eager they were to defend it from the Seppies. Could Rex’s clone rebellion accelerate in size now the Empire has replaced the clones with stormtroopers and destroyed their home?

When I saw that thumbnail I instantly thought of Gary The Stormtrooper from Robot Chicken.

One major flaw with making your troops interchangeable drones with full-body armor is that it's incredibly easy to impersonate them...

Stormtrooper: I'm so confident I'll go out in that forest with my armour that you could see from a mile away and that me and my entire squad of troops will come out on top. Stormtrooper later: Damn. I'm dead.

You know you've gone beyond dehumanising when even the imperium of man for 40K allows most customization and unit expression than you. Good job empire.

Clonetroopers: Fives: "Hey Echo! Can't believe we're ARC Troopers now!"😏 Echo: "Tell me about it Fives! We went from regs to ARCS!"😏 Stormtroopers:😑

As much as I loathe to give the sequel trilogy credit for anything, the fact that Finn was able to overcome such a thorough and soul crushing indoctrination process makes his defection from the stormtrooper Corp all the more impressive and admirable.

It's funny cause in Allegiance the ISB only ever used numbers. The Stormtroopers on the Star Destroyer were able use their names when off duty and even not wear the armor when in areas that weren't combat based, including the overlooks of the main Hanger Bay.
  • @Rexofthe501st
For the record, at 3:40, Echo was actually the one who made the comment “It’s ironic. Clones wanted names instead of number, now people are lining up to be given numbers.” It wasn’t Hunter who said this, and I just want to make sure Echo gets the recognition he deserves.

Jedi can lift objects and even people, so why can't Jedi use the force to levitate themselves and fly?
  • It's actually similar to how armies in the past ran things. I remember watching a show about the military, where some supreme commander appointed his sons as generals. He absolutely forbade them from calling him "father" and ordered them to get out of his command post until they referred to him as their commander.

At least we had the one Stormtrooper who stood up to Vader, sassed Palpatine, and actually lived. Our good friend, Gary
