Everybody told us not to travel general class on Indian trains so we thought we'd go see if it was as bad as people say...

Turns out in Southern India general class isn't bad atall! We met so many nice people and again experienced incredible hospitality.

Our experience on the trains down south has been nothing but fantastic 🇮🇳 We only stayed in Kerala for a few days, after a month in India we were knackered and needed to chill out. Where should we visit on a future trip? In Kerala? In India? Should we visit Sri Lanka?? Let us know, we appreciate all the support 🙏

Awesome, I am a 57 yr old, born here but lived in India - Kerala & Karnataka equally... Been to over 30 countries but Kerala is tops

Traveling in unreserved class in express trains is not bad in Tamilnadu and Kerala unless it's over crowded. It's a pure joy if it is a passenger train. People will mingle quickly with you. In AC coaches nobody will even smile.
  • @LaveenaEksha
The lady in the ticket counter was kind enough to apologise in making the passenger wait. I hope she is already treating everyone the same way.

This is cheating. If you really want to enjoy General Class, travel in North India in General then u will come to know what is Crowded Train😂.

You are the first foreigner I've seen who immediately picks up the local accent and pronunciation properly... Damn, how could you do this so easily, man?

Antony carries a lot of richness in his heart. At his age, such an educated person, he is being so humble, wanting to help a foreigner who recognized you guys understanding the fact that you are landing on His soil for the first time. He went everywhere to put on the right bus to make sure that you reach your destiny tension free. He dint ask for any penny for his service. He dint invade your privacy. But He made sure that you guys received a proper guidance according to Your plans. He even paid for your tickets along with his to the bus conductor. South is where good hearted people live.

God bless Antony - my eyes filled up with tears when he said goodbye!! What a warm kind man !! He sensed how genuine you guys were and wanted to help you. He was right! And he wasn't after money, just wanted to help. Gave me hope in humanity !!

Kerala is GOD's OWN COUNTRY. Being a north Indian, Id suggest you to stay there longer and explore the state thoroughly. Kerala, Rajasthan, North east states and Kashmir and Ladhakh you must visit. Dont visit Mumbai, delhi etc.
  • Traveling in general class is fun anywhere in India but but but dont even think of travelling in general class if you are in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar or any train that passes through these states. This is not a request but a warning 😂
  • @TheRishijoesanu
Kerala will be the highlight of your trip. Rural Kerala is beautiful and quite developed by Indian standards. Kerala folks are some of the friendliest in South Asia. They'll take care of you.
  • Kerala And Tamilnadu are Like BROTHERS ❤ , We Really hope you get much hospitality there as well
