Most useful video on the tube today. Not because it taught me anything particular, but because now I know I'm not alone in having troubles with tyre changes :-)
  • @bridgetpaule928
The trick of pressing the tire/wheel assembly against a wall when mounting the new tire was a ride-saver. After breaking one of my tire levers on a particularly tight new tire, I turned to the internet for some tricks and that was the one that saved my day. Thanks!

I haven't read a single comment yet but I'm wondering how many people are going to scold you for not lining up logo with valve. Lol
  • @karl0sfandang0
Yesssss! Thank you.. Finally I managed to get my tyre off! So much harder these days than old-school bike tyres! :-)
  • @Steveman61
I'd like to see you taking off a Bontrager S4 TubeLess after it has been on the (40mm) rim for half a year. It was the hardest tyre I ever removed in my entire life. Without a vice its almost impossible. Since that day I don't carry an inner tube with me anymore as in the woods I can't get the tyre off anyway....
  • @Ballynoes
Not really a difficult tyre to remove, esp as you can get it into the center of the rim... try a tyre which refuses to even come away from the bead.

Been struggling with a tire all morning and watched tons of videos. Yours is the only one that told me what I'd done wrong. Make sure you're installing your tire in the right direction! Thank you!

I Like all the tips about soapy water, or heating your tires up first, Last time I had a puncher, I was out test riding my new bike on a night ride in the freezing cold with the bike and tires covered in mud, Trying to get of my tire with my hands and a rock, totally unprepared, I now have plastic levers in my kit and just made them tubles.
  • @Accu53Mation
Thanks for the assistance. Wide tires on wide rims, take a-lot of effort. Nearly resorted to using a saw.
  • Thanks. I was losing my mind on this. The tip of bringing everything closer to the middle of the rim did the trick.
  • Man thanks so much. As a newbie I'm having difficulty installing the tires
  • @MrRizo23
lol, I thought my tire was difficult to remove, and then I watched this and tried again their way. very easy. I was trying to do it like an ignorant fool before. Thanks!
  • @greasycervelo
Soapy water. in a small spray bottle. I had a set of knobby nics that broke two levers. Soapy water that is the key
  • Oh yes that was such a difficult tyre well done that man 😂, but still a helpful vid 👍 cheers now I’m going to try again to put my ba****d one on 😅
  • @cswann8
That wall trick saved me from a very embarrassing trip to my LBS. THANK YOU.
