Saying Bocchi has no plot progression is wild. Bocchi in ep 1 could never do what Bocchi in ep 12 ends up doing during the school festival. It’s not the deepest plot progression ever but there is an arc that is more in depth than Joey gives it credit for.

So when Joey said he was halfway through Bocchi and loved it on the Emerichu episode, was he lying then or is he lying now? The way he talks about Bocchi makes me think he didn't actually finish it. Dude is either a contrarian or just lies so much he forgets what he lied about.

I really hope Joey says this stuff just to create arguments, because I can't believe someone that has seen as much anime and is a big fan of music as Joey can say that Bocchi and GBC are both K-on clones and that Bocchi's music is mid.

If Bocchi can be criticized because of its fans, JJK should also be criticized because of its fans, because they're so much worse. At least Bocchi fans can go 5 seconds without spoiling their manga and spreading the most brain rot memes to every corner of the internet.

I think K-on and Bocchi are both pretty good at doing their things, and they shouldn't be compared to each other save for being in the same music/slice of life genres. Joey kinda shows his true colors though, saying that cute girls drinking tea all day instead of practicing their songs are more relatable than a band struggling with every day life - even if some of those struggles may be heavily exaggerated for visual effect. I'm not hating on Joey, but I guess he's starting to live up to his reputation as the entitled Karen of the group.
