The Seaforth Highlanders Of Canada "Freedom of the City" in honour of their 100th Anniversay .The Regiment received new Colours in November of 2010 today is the culmination of SEAFORTH 100 centenary celebration. The" Old Colours" were "laid up" today at Christ Church Cathederal, Georgia and Burrard Vancouver. They can be viewed in the memorial alcove along with other historical flags. After the service the regiment proceeded along Burrard ending the day at the Armoury.

I remember them, my grandad was in this regiment WW1 and 2(in China). He joined the parades and Christmas parties long ago, kids learned to shoot balloons w/a 22. Glad you caught this and posted. Still have his WW1 cot. Thank you!

At the end of the parade, they made their way back to the armory, army Cadets affiliated with seaforth were doing drill as they made there way inside. i was a Seaforth Cadet there!
  • I wonder if my uncle was a part of this, he was in the regiment until he retired from it, served in the infantry, then semi retired from that an carried on in the band. I believe this was juuuuust before he retired

I'm really pleased to see that the 3rd platoon was marching at slope arms instead of having their rifles at shoulder arms.
