After sitting dormant and abandoned along the North end of the Las Vegas Strip, the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, has finally opened to the public. I'm flying out to Vegas to take a look at what has happened to this infamous abandoned building and provide a 2024 update!

Honestly, i am genuinely shocked that a project like this, delayed and abandoned so many times by so many owners over nearly 2 decades, ACTUALLY got completed. You almost NEVER hear of this happening, and the projects typically stay abandoned and rot after so many years of failed attempts and deterioration. Impressive
  • This is a rare occasion where an abandoned structure actually gets a happy ending! 😮

My name is Jake, and this is UN-Abandoned! haha

I just returned from a 4 night stay at Fontainebleau LV, and that resort is gorgeous! The staff were wonderful to deal with, and dined at several great restaurants around the resort. I highly recommend Mother Wolf and Miami Slice as my favourite restaurants.
  • As someone who works at The Fontainebleau, it’s a pretty cool place

I’m a musician who performs at the Fontainebleau, and all I can say is that this place is one of the coolest spots on the strip.

This is one of those channels where my head thinks "This is such great content I wish anyone else cared about abandoned material" then I see 1.43 million subscribers and realize I'm not alone. Congrats. Job very well done.

I’ve been to Vegas for YEARS. As a vistor/tourist, I can say the lumbering blue giant eyesore finally is open after nearly 20 years of developmental hell. Viva Las Vegas. 🎉

I stayed there earlier this month. I really liked the room and the view. The food was great at 4 different restaurants I tried. The conference center did what a conference center is supposed to do. The Bleu Bar had great service and cocktails.

it's like a crossover episode between BSF & BSF Travel! I love it!

I got a few red flags when I came gambling, 1. The cocktail ladies give out Fiji as their complimentary water 2. They serve pretty heavy pours in high quality glass (polar opposite of every other hotel) 3. All the casino chips are electronically chipped (unsure if this is a thing in other properties) 4. The slot machines feel a lot more spaced out than your average casino. I loved the decor, and how well the ribbon was adapted to the design, but I am worried that their operating costs are way too high and they will be burning through a lot money real quick, especially with its low occupation costs

The Fontainebleau being incomplete always bugged me as a kid every time I would visit Vegas. Now that I’m 24years young I’m definitely going to visit it this year.

I was a kid back in 2010 when it had an incomplete glass cladding. This building is so huge and the tallest one. It wasn't its time back then to operate, now after setbacks, this blue themed resort is actually unique with spacious rooms than Palazzo.

When i lived in vegas from 2017-2019 this building was a standing corpse. Good to see its finally opened...
  • @LoganScott.
The logo on that building was originally created to show case itself of what will soon to be the “new fountain blue.” I was told at my job (where me and one other person cut those pieces out) that it was going to be installed to advertise its grand opening on new years when TV’s around the world would panel on that end of the strip. It was made out of Vinyl with no lamination believe it or not. Surprised they were able to remove it without the windows falling or ripping off little by little pieces due to the extreme weather

Last I read in local LV news was they are basically charging mid-strip prices for a building by the prime real estate of Circus Circus, Sahara, and Festival Grounds.
  • They're airing Fontainebleau commercials on ESPN+ right now. Glad to see this project got un-abandoned!
