Thanks again for all you do for the turtles and all the other animals that are lucky enough to call GST home.

I think red eared sliders are probably one of the most mistreated turtles because, as you pointed out, people get them without having a clue how big they get or how to care for them. A few years ago I decided to get a turtle, I researched for a couple months and decided on a southern painted. They stay pretty small, he is 2 years old now and about 5 inches. Was a great choice, he is happy and healthy and a lot of fun, very interactive and will take food from my fingers. Thankful there are folks like you to care for these animals.
  • Thank you for the cameo from Otis! 🥰 Your compassion is endless, but what about your property size?

LOVE the caiman! Your talkative sidekick was very entertaining. Amazing rescue. Thank you for posting.
  • I came across your channel through the lovely YouTube algorithm. It's been a fascinating, educational, interesting, and plain fun and absolute enjoyment. You and Kasey have committed to this lifestyle and rescue. It's truly a joy watching the 2 of you interact together but the bird, Kiwi, was the best. Thank you for letting us into your day to day lives and Many Blessings

Heartbreaking! I'm glad they found you guys!
  • I once found a snapper on the road, now, this girl was 3 feet in diameter, and in a really bad area. I caught her, and put her in my trunk, and took her home. I then cleaned her up a bit, took photos, measured, and weighed her. She weighed 58 lbs. Then I took her to a area where I know she would be much safer, and get lots of food, and sun, and water. I got her to the shore, and backed away. She sat there for about 5 minutes, then she turned around facing me, and backed into the water slowly, and watched me watching her. I know she was happy.
  • I can so relate Casey. I have raised many babies and as adults they took up with the men in the house. Thank you guys for all you do.❤❤

Wow, it's so sad to see the number of improperly cared for turtles. But if those few really damaged ones are too ill to recover, at least their final days will be spent in turtle paradise. ❤❤

I could have sworn I heard a cockatiel throughout some of your videos!

We live in Arizona and my niece took a tiny sulcata whose clutch was found by dogs( not hers) in the desert, I came to visit shortly after and fell in love, as in head over heels and her name is Tomi Tiptoe. Her sister tortoise went to another home but they could not keep her and my niece then took in Tikki Charlie. They live in the back yard enclosure and she grows and buys food for them. They are about 4 years old and about 30 plus pounds and bring light and joy to life. They are healthy but as she read up on sulcata diet and fed tomi correctly from the start and her shell is perfect. Tikki has some pyramiding but not too bad and thats how we can tell them apart. Tomi wants little to do with humans (unless food is involved) Tikki is a little lover which is opposite what you would think but what a wonderful experience it has been!
  • I continue to be amazed with with what you guys manage in your day to day lives.
  • Wow; mega dittos indeed, Chris and Casey, for what all you do for turtles in need! 🐢🐢 Congrats on your acquiring “Raptor!” A gorgeous creature. 🦎

Astounding you received so many turtles of mostly the same breed. Wonder how many are just set free. These are the lucky ones. Thank you for all you do for them ❤❤❤❤❤
  • @tinygrim
Wow, that's sad . So glad you can take them 😢.

It was the box that Tiki said to herself, I don't know what's in that box so I'm going to the highest place on my hooman just in case, lol. That's a lot of turtles, especially red ears, can't thank you enough for helping these critters. Chris and Casey thanks for helping them out.🐢🦎👍❤️
  • Our red eared slider is over 20 years old that we know of, she could easily be older. We were given her when her family had to move and were at the time homeless. They had no idea how old she was as they had been given her by another person. Again as you said she was in a 20 gallon tank. We tryed the outside kiddie pool with big rocks but the dogs kept squishing the fence to drink out of it. So we got a 120 gal. aquarium with a homemade huge turtle dock above and she stays in that pretty happily. She also requires a laarge canister type filter! I don't know about other turtles but redears seem to poop alot and alge up the water. The big filter keeps her tank much clearer and cleaner.
  • Oh that's who i'm hearing while you're in the reptile building! lol. Tiki is absolutely adorable and so funny. That is a LOT of Red Earred Sliders! hopeing the weather is better and you can put them outside soon. Thank you for helping them!
