The Sims 4 Infants Update: Official Trailer & Behind The Scenes

I noticed the infants look and function a lot like a smaller version of the toddlers. That’s actually a good thing because it makes them more customizable and interactive. I’m so excited! I can’t wait to see how they interact with other packs! I hope sims can make cute little outfits for them with Nifty Knitting! Edit: I forgot to mention that it makes sense considering real toddlers are in that adorably awkward stage between baby and child. Edit 2: WHAT?!?!? I got all these likes just for expressing my excitement for the new update?! I mean, I’m not ungrateful. Just surprised.

It would be nice if adult Sims can show up at parks and other child friendly lots with their kids, toddlers or infants. One of my biggest issues with the Sims 4 is how lifeless the worlds are especially in comparison to Sims 3 and 2.

Fluctuating constantly between "I can't believe this is real WOOHOO" ; "I wish time travel was real so these adorable little squishes had always been a part of my saves" && (ofc) "ohh lord I can't wait for the creepy glitches" 🤣

It reminds me of Cats and Dogs, where they wanted to make the best cats and dogs ever, and they SUCCEEDED.
It was so weird, watching cradle Sims go straight to child - and even straight to toddler. Finally my sims will reguarly be having children!

Please make pre-teens next 😻 it’s kinda weird going from a small child to a full grown teen, that’s the same height as an adult/young adult

My due date for baby two is March 10. So, I will likely not get to play at all. But I'm definitely thrilled for this!!!

I'm so excited for this!! I wonder if toddlers will change a little as a result? The 'infants' seem to display a lot of what used to be 'toddler specific' behavior, kind of shadowing the whole 'toddler' phase. I don't necessarily feel like there should be another age between toddler and child, or even child and teen - but they are gaps that can hopefully be addressed later on.

The only thing I seem to miss for these infants is pacifiers! 👶🏼🙏🏻

Love this! It would be nice if there was a daycare service in each world or like a nanny service again.

I wonder if these infants will completely replace babies ? I’d still like my babies in bassinets when they are born and after at least 1 sim day they automatically grow into infants rather than being born as infants lol.
I really hope we get pre-teens as the next update for the age group between child and teen. I feel the kids grow way to fast from the child to the teen age but pre-teens would be the perfect in-between!

Also hope occult infants show slight behaviour changes ? Like witch infants can make their toys disappear or mermaid infants can blow bubbles or vampire infants hiss or bite into their teddy’s necks or werewolf infants howling/scratching furniture hehehhehje

Well, that was fun! Great to involve us in the behind-the-scenes to see what the thought process was when putting these things together. Can't wait for the infants to arrive in game! :)
