  • SO NICE to hear someone say something KIND about California for a change!
  • @randyrice1429
Used to live in California and have seen at least 90 percent of these places. My favorite? Yosemite. It's like God's Disneyland. In my twelve years in CA, I camped at Yosemite three times. Would still like to see it again. Amazing.
  • I’m a classic California dreamer, born and raised for 60 + years I wouldn’t live anywhere else I still find new places to see for the first time

I'm born and raised in California and I will be honest, I've lived LA and now in San Francisco and my drive up and down from San Francisco to Las Vegas Nevada, San Diego and LA is the most beautiful scenic view the deserts and beautiful rolling mountains, it is Gods greatest creation.
  • My favorite is driving on Highway 1 on the coast from Los Anges to San Francisco. Takes two to three days, no pressure and no rush.

I am a naturalized US citizen and lived in 2 other countries before I moved to CA. I lived there for the longest time in my life although my husband and I have moved here to Scottsdale, AZ now. CA has so much to offer and I am so grateful that I got to spend so many exciting yrs there. I got a great education, saw all the beautiful places, and met a bunch of interesting people. It is also where I met my husband. We will be retiring in Japan in several yrs but I will always be a Californian at heart! I love going back to visit SoCal any time of year. Thank you for this video.

Santa Barbara is my happy place. I live in Los Angeles and it’s a quick escape location. Beautiful. I love the air and sounds there!
  • @leonorponce8279
I agree with you, Yosemite is the most beautiful place to visit in California.
  • THANK YOU for including some places in Northern California. I am a lifelong California native, with family from one end of the state to the other. This gorgeous state is more than just beaches and Hollywood. And, Northern California is majestic, to say the least. Monterey and Carmel are "dreamy"- perfect description. Lovely, misty trees, wildlife, and low-key, but high class homes. And, Sacramento is a fantastic city for charm, history, food, and for raising a family. Sacramento has a great art and music scene, as well. And, Yosemite? Jaw-dropping. Leave it to a tour director to finally do this RIGHT!
  • I live in Paso Robles, California, in San Luis Obispo County and we have over 300 wineries here. There's a whole lot more in San Luis Obispo county than covered. Lots of hiking trails, great restaurants and a many historical buildings and missions.

My favorite place in California is Carmel by the Sea the 17 Mle drive it's gorgeous, has great restaurants as well, Pebble beach golf course is spectacular, also Lake Tahoe it's spectacular!!
  • Growing up in CA, we’d go to Lake Tahoe a lot for vacation. Never gets old, Tahoe is one of my favorite places in the country
  • @carpassion96
I too am from Chicago but settled in Santa Maria, right between SLO and Santa Barbara. By far my favorite places in California would be the redwoods. From Big Sur to Crescent City, they are the most beautiful natural wonders I've ever seen.
  • @barbaraolson600
Prefer San Diego, San Clemente, Laguna Beach, to Hearst Castle, San Francisco, Monterey and Napa then inland to Tahoe, Sierra Nevada towns and lakes, back South to Los Angeles and Hollywood, Maybe Catalina Island and home again. Love some of the other stops but this is a Big trip ! Lots to see at every stop , different things in every season. CA is a driving trip, Native American history should not be forgotten. I would have loved to include the redwoods but seemed we were at a month already, the art , Reforming arts and science , La Brea tar pits are amazing. The pronunciation in this post are close but not correct. Thank you. Another amazing state is New Mexico.
  • I so enjoyed watching this. As a teenager it was always my dream to visit California, and in 2009 this dream came true….which is a big deal for a British person. I went on a tour and was blessed to visit most places mentioned in the video….all of which wer simply awe inspiring. An additional place I loved was Solvang. Thank you so much for making this 😍

Everyone knows California is the Mpst Beautiful Richest State in the US. If it became a Country , it would be the 5th economy in the World
  • @chriscorsello
I am a third generation Californian. My dad and grandfather were born and raised in San Francisco. I was born and raised in Napa. While I was expecting both S.F. and Napa to be on this list, I was pleasantly surprised to find Sacramento on this list, which is where I now live. Sacramento is kind of the "red headed step child" living in the shadow of S.F. and so many other great places nearby. Sacramento has really come alive in the last decade or so, along with what was mentioned here, the midtown area is filled with small art galleries, live theater, farm to fork restaurants, numerous cafes, independent coffee shops, bar and clubs. We also have an amazing bike trail the runs from the confluence of the American and Sacramento river 35 miles to Folsom lake. Growing up in Napa (only an hour away) I barely knew Sacramento existed except that it was the state capital... but now I have a real appreciation for this place I call home. Thanks for including it on this list.
