I think one of the most telling lines in this last episode is when Ewan said “Eventually, Logan stopped trying”. I believe that Succession tries to tell us that there are some unavoidable aspects of our personality ingrained in us, but as long as we keep trying, we are able to keep ourselves together. I feel like in this most recent episode, we see Kendall finally stop trying to be good, which is what will eventually take him down the path to become his father
-
Of course the poison drips through. Ironic that Shiv said Kendall at least tried. She’s already given up on her child, and the child has yet to even be born!
-
“It broke them in such different yet overlapping and equally serious ways.” Poetry, my man

Been loving the Succession content recently
-
It feels like by verbalizing that he is a bad father he kind of gave up. He gave up on being good. He loves his kids, but not enough and not more than power.
-
This video is even more significant after episode 9. While Ken and Shiv seem to have completely embraced their Logan side, Rom ultimately saw Logan as his father - and not as the business mogul
-
I interpreted the scene with Shiv and Kendall differently. Kendall knows that Shiv is their family's ideological opposite, so he went to her as a sort of guiding light. At that moment, Kendall was willing to give up his birthright for his children. And Shiv could've been genuine, shared a deep moment with her brother, and got what she wanted, but instead, she tried to work him and it backfired. Kendall ended up backing Mencken out of spite rather than personal gain. This episode showed that even though Logan is dead, his presence still haunts them and prevents the siblings from being that hopeful united front they were at the end of season 3.
-
In Season 1, Kendall tells Roman, “You are not a serious person.” In Season 4, Logan’s tells the three, “You are not serious people.”

what bothers me about the kids is that they're actually smart and talented in their own ways. if only they had less toxicity in their childhood, they would've been a force to reckon with.
-
He isn’t a good father. But he isn’t a bad father either. He just exists
-
The finale answered that final question with certainty.

It’s so nice that the Roy siblings are FINALLY having real conversations and being vulnerable

This sort of profound lamentation upon the deterministic nature of generational trauma never fails to resonate with me on a level one may be inclined to describe as almost primal. The intrinsically multi-faceted core of humanity, and how it subsequently manifests into a defined sense of self, leads us to conceptualize our pain in all manner of ways, and the idea that we perpetuate such pain via internalizing it is a deeply tragic notion, yet so beautiful when explored in art, and (Hopefully) overcome. It speaks to the ultimate dilemma of the human soul; Our ability to construct personal identity vs the ways in which we internalize our environment, experiences, and connections to others, and of course, the intersection of the two. Here, the very trajectory of humanity is called into question, as we hope and pray that the beautiful aspects of our nature can overcome the ways in which we've suffered, to construct something truly worth living for. And personally, I believe pushing for such introspection, progression, and self-improvement is an absolute necessity, to actualize a brighter tomorrow for all humanity. Apologies for the overly long and somewhat shallow diatribe. You are genuinely the only YouTuber I am always actively excited to watch, and you absolutely never disappoint. Incredible work, have a nice day.

Its gonna end in a bloodbath, the company ripped to shreds

Thank you so much for such amazing content man!😊😊🎉🎉

Because I’ve grown to care for these characters I secretly wish to see them escape, just slip under the barbed wire right as it shuts down on them. The end of denial and the beginning of healing. But it’s starting to feel like that’s not going to happen. Things feel very bleak.

Can’t wait to see your opinions on the funeral episode. Successions firing on all cylinders
-
My prediction to the season fiinale is that Mencken and Masson will join forces. They will leave Shiv without the cake and name Greg as the American CEO.

“I am not a crook” Kendal or Nixon.. man’s slowly morphing into the ex president

never heard of this show aside from your vids. Always gotta stop by and leave a like
