If I'm asked to take the video down, I'll do so. I don't own anything except the English translation. MARETU's lyrics are ambiguous, this is how I interpret the lyrics, so take them with a grain of salt.

If you're new here, hello, I translate Vocaloid songs to English as a hobby. My main music genre is trance, but I enjoy other genres too. I try to collaborate with producers as much as possible, ask questions about their lyrics and have my translations uploaded to their videos directly. If you're interested in that, please follow me on Twitter to be notified about them. On this channel, you'll find videos of inactive producers (no new songs for 5+ years) and from producers who don't seem to mind having translations uploaded.

2:22 morse code can be heard very faintly under the music that spells out "together forever"

PEOPLE MENTIONED THAT THE GRUESOME SQUISHY SOUNDS ARE STABBING BUT WHAT IF IT WAS CHEWING-

I think it's interesting on how the song's lyrics hint at person singing to have eaten the person they loved and now being enfatuated with the fact that they now "share a body" and you can hear in the instrumental some sort of string instrument that reminds you of an organ, an instrument that looks like a piano that is played at churches, more specifically weddings which is fitting for this person who wants to share an eternal bond with their lover/victim lol it really just seems like this person was betrayed in some way and ended up killing their lover out of resentment but still loving them Anyway, props to Maretu, another really cool song, I like how this one takes a slower rhythm. Thanks for the subtitles!

WE'RE EATING OUR CHEATING LOVER WITH THIS ONE 🥶🗣️🔥🔥‼️❗🆙🆙🆙🆙💯💯

Omg I just thought of something horrific, This song is supposedly about a person killing and eating their cheating lover I think? Each time a heart depletes a bit in the song, there is a gross crunch, gore, stabbing sound? Idk to me it sounded like a eating noise. Anyway so as I said, each time a heart depletes, you hear that noise but near the end when all the hearts are depleted, you still keep hearing that noise and they vibrate. That makes me theorize that person getting eaten is STILL ALIVE while being eaten and when the hearts are all depleted, it means that the victim died but we still keep hearing the noise so I also theorize that the person eating continues to munch on the dead body. Sorry this is just my interpretation of the song.(Sorry if my wording and grammar is bad)
  • I know there's a lot of interpretations in this about a broken marriage and toxic relationships. Yet, all I could think of is the possibility of the one singing is a kitsune who became too possessive with their partner and eventually ate them as a twisted way of "love" in fears of their partner having eyes for someone else .

WE MAKING IT OUT OF THERAPY WITH THIS ONE🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
  • It feels like Maretu songs are getting more and more insane 😭
  • UPDATE: I've been reading theories in Japanese, I really liked one and decided to share it. At 1:23 and at 2:49, the text is こうしてやる、but there's a subtle difference between them. At 2:49, the second letter is more connected, making it kinda look like ころしてやる、which means "I'll kill you." Perhaps the actual intended meaning of that line is "I'll kill you, traitor!" It is the part when all the hearts turn empty, plus it's also the part when a quite gruesome noise is played. Something to think about =) UPDATE 2 on 12th September 2023: At 1:05 and at 2:10 I went with a more cannibalistic approach. If you search for "cooking toys" and then おままごと , you'll get the same results. I personally still stand by this approach. I've seen おままごと being translated as "game of house", so in case you'd like a more neutral approach, I'd translate those parts as "Let's end this dried up game of house before it ends" and "Let's end this rotten game of house before it ends" I never expected this to viewed so many times. It's almost at 100K views, like what?? Thank you, I truly appreciate it, and I hope this translation could shine some line upon the meaning of this song. :face-red-heart-shape:

did anyone else notice the little SIU reference at 1:05 ?? i cant be the only one who hears the little pattern at the start of SIU in that part

You know, I thought Pink had cannibalism themes at first but that got debunked… but here we have a song with HEAVY cannibalism implications (i.e. the fleshy sounds during the chorus and near the end, the symbol that not only resembles the rounds of a revolver but also a meat mincer, lyrics such as “let’s fuse our bodies and souls together”, “you’re already mine”, and “you’ll enter inside me”). I know Maretu’s well-known for his dark songs but this one feels especially dark since he used organ instruments and even softer vocals than usual, which is saying a lot… It’s on par with Coin Locker Baby in my opinion

So happy this song is getting popular again.. the animations on tiktok are CRAZY😭
  • This song makes my heart ache but also I'm not entirely sure what it's about. That's always the case with vocaloid songs for me that aren't entirely direct. But it sounds like it could be about a breakup, and/or cannibalistic revenge, or it could be about falling in love with someone who then sexually assaulted you and killing them to stop the trauma. I'm just not sure but they all fit.
  • @K1LLERWH4LE
the cannibalistic implications make me want to think that it could be a metaphor for doing anything just to keep them with you, because i really relate to that and also the song in general (excluding the cannibalism and killing) . like, i feel like its a metaphor of them just trying to do anything because theyre afraid that their partner is gonna leave and like!!!!!!!! i completely get that!!!!!!!!!!! and it might not be what its actually about but i like to view it as that because it makes me feel happy that i can connect to the song a bit

Maretu never die because the hidden notes inside of this is crazy . 2:22 you can hear Morse code faintly that spells together forever ( I got this from someone else ) but aswell 222 is the Angel number that represents a romantic relationship . Plus I’m sure the heart represents either theirs or their lovers . After every heart is over with you can hear bone crunches which means they r literally eating their lover . And after the last two are gone I think you can like hear faint talking between aswell or whispers idk but like distorted screams throughout the song too ( plus cool detail is the heart depleting gets more shakily and aggressive in last chorus verse + the crunches ) Plus the last verse lyrics are basically saying how they are eating them ( if you analyse it deeper than what some people would think of it … ) “ You’ll enter , inside of me ! “ while there is literally crunching sounds omnomnom . “ You’ll always remain within me “ And the cooking toy lyric makes me think that they were alive but also being cooked then eaten because wdym by your cooking tous

in my point of view, the girl killed her abusive boyfriend in Pink, found a new one in New Draling, and this now is she talking about how she loved the first one, but how she still hates him, in a toxic way, she doesn't want to forget him, she is obssesed with love, hate, and madness
