  • Lou, your videos are very comforting to watch, a much needed little escape from the insanity of 2021. Please continue to show us the "normal" world that so many of us are missing right now. I think you know what I mean 😏
  • I always like OLDS ever since I was studying in the States. This is a very beautiful and sharp looking car. I personally like it very much. Thanks LOU for sharing this video. Have a great weekend.

Thank you too Frank. Without great guy's like yourself, we wouldn't see these stunning automobile's. You are the custodian of a dream machine, a summer special.
  • Man what a car love the Bellflower pipes. Lou you have to be one of the hardest working car you tube guy. Thank you for all the great videos keep up the great work.
  • @fleetwin1
Our relatives had a 59 88 "flat top".  I remember being in awe riding in that car, especially when compared to our 59 Rambler wagon...

The great 50s. Lovely era of the automobile for sure. Thanks for share this fantastic Olds, lou
  • Your attention to detail really makes this video stand out. I'd hate to see somebody talking on a cell phone, not paying attention when this big tank was in front of them. Another great video, good job sir.
  • I remember as a kid sitting in the backseat of one of these my " father " owned going on family trips. I also remember the red lights flashing in the back glass from the police stopping us for speeding too.

Lovely looking car! I've always loved the 1959 Oldsmobile. I love the two-tone blue and white colour combination. :)

Hi, Lou! Before there were wide-body planes, there was this wide-body Olds, and the way the headlamps are set far apart has a way of making it look even wider than it already is (although not eight feet wide as Frank says)! While it does look like a rocket ship, it was actually the most conservatively styled of the five GM brands. GM was going for the rocket ship look as a reaction to Chrysler's "Forward Look" cars of 1957. One of the most interesting features on these cars was the ribbon speedometer. Up to 35 mph the ribbon was green, then from there to 65 it was amber, and beyond 65 it was red. Would have been interesting to watch had Frank taken you along for the ride. Olds capped off the fabulous Fifties in just the right way! I'm not surprised that Frank gets a lot of wows out on the road!

Hi Lou. Holiday special. Definitely a rocket ship. Another beautiful example of the era of super stylish glamorous automobile's. Thank you again Lou.
  • @galiffrey1

  • @abodea7017
Just about time! Really nice olds. thanks for sharing!
  • Lou, I just got pack from the biggest annual American classic car show in the UK & this was waiting for me in the channel feed like icing on the cake. Loved the focus on detail like the fins & exhausts, it's those aspects of your videos that along with the commentary from the owners make them so enjoyable. I only took photos today but one car worthy of note to you was a 1949 Pontiac fastback in red with Illinois licence plates. It could of come right out of one your videos! Regards, rare VHS.
  • @edb.3313
Absolutely gorgeous Lou and thanks for sharing. :-)
  • I like the way that the hood, roof, top of the trunk and the fin are one color and the side panels another color. This is a very nice car. Thank you for sharing. :)
  • @roadjet184
