Love this! Thank you for providing us newbies with a baseline for all of this! You’re the best!
  • Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I love books and love shopping for books. I find mine at various thrift stores and library book sales. I just found you and a few other book resellers and decided to join you. Being back in the job market following the retirement of the doctor I worked for is intimidating! Reselling is not my main source of income so I don’t have that pressure. I want to have fun and enjoy meeting/sharing books with other book lovers. I began selling on eBay and just started on Whatnot. I have successfully completed my first show, gained followers and shipped out orders! I even made a new seller friend who joined Whatnot when I did. I’m not sure where this is headed but I choose to enjoy the process even the shipping part. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!
  • My name is Cindy and my husband and I live in Dewey, Arizona. I just found you today, as YouTube suggested your video to watch. I really enjoyed this video, thank you! I was a huge book seller on Amazon FBA back in 2014/2015. I did very well, but gave it up as my husband and I were so busy with other things, we just didn't have the time to be sellers any longer. Of all of the things I sold on Amazon, books BY FAR were my all time favorite. I truly miss it! Every time I drive by a thrift store, my heartbeat increases, as I just remember how much I truly loved spending time in thrift stores and libraries, sourcing books. I had been thinking about getting back into it, but not selling on Amazon any longer, but moving over to eBay. I had heard of about WhatNot, but do not know anything about it. I'm very excited for all that you shared, and I look forward to your video next week, to learn more. In the mean time, I am going to be doing my own research about this platform, and learn more that way too. Thank you again! Look forward to following more of your journey.

Can’t wait for next weeks video. 🎉 I’m still new to the platform. (Mostly books.) I LOVE the community. This was a fun video. I feel like I know you but I’ve learned more now. 😊😊
  • I can’t wait to be cool like you! Love that you are so willing to share❤
  • @DiggerdanReads
Thanks for sharing your story! I’m excited to continue to soak up any knowledge you’ll share. I’ve been thinking about reselling for years and I think you may be the person to finally convince me to take the plunge!
  • If you want to work for yourself you have to work. Learning how to run your business is key to being successful. Your doing great!

I am starting a hobby business reselling Lego, but my wife has been selling on EBay for the last few years. That was a helpful tidbit about the marketplace on Whatnot, didn’t know they had that option for selling. Good luck!
  • Hi I’m in the UK, just found one of your videos on YouTube, very good content and very in-depth keep them going. I have been selling on eBay part time for a while, but lately not really done much and sales are really down, so I was thinking of moving into selling books and go full time, just need to push myself into sourcing books and getting them listed your enthusiasm is great and if I can capture some of that hopefully I can improve.

Great video! I've always been rather intimidated with the thought of selling on whatnot. Now I see the possibilities ❤ Thank you, looking forward to your next video.
  • You have been amazing for me to find and I love the book community it has been a blessing.

We had a huge book sale twice a year in a nearby city and it was a good place to source. 50% and 75% off the last 2 days of the sale. I have a lot of books, all ages, topics, vintage etc. I’ve sold a few in a garage sale and thought about selling some online, but haven’t actually done so yet. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to the next ones.

A dedicated permanent photo station is a good idea. Removing what one can see as an obstacle to completing a task is a successful and smart business solution. Theres some part time ebayers making good money
  • @amylong2926
Brand new to reselling, got 150 or so free books and trying to move them. Also selling video games. All on eBay so far, but if some don’t sell I may consider whatnot. Love your streams and videos (:
  • @ninasullivan220
Great video. I am approved to sell on Whatnot, but haven’t done any shows yet. Storeage and estate category. Would also like to do book category at some time. I own a thrift store and have 15-20,000 books. Will be staying tuned for your future videos. Thanks for all the info!
  • @SheilaHurlbert
Good information, I have been selling part time for awhile. Just starting to get into books.
  • Brilliant informative video - I really enjoyed hearing your journey to where you are now and loved your relaxed presentation. Congratulations on your success, Amanda as you have clearly worked hard and earnt it!  I'm a new subscriber from the UK, who after planning for several years is about to start selling books and vintage on Ebay. Sadly storage space in homes or rentable units is at more of a premium in our smaller country. I'm really excited to start! You've probably thought of these already, but might I humbly suggest for your newly planned work station that you consider rubber anti-fatigue mats, recommended to help with standing for long hours and, preserve your back wherever possible as books are heavy! Maybe consider a trolley on wheels so that you are not doing so much lifting? I'm in my 50s and my back and knees are not always happy! Regards, Liz

How do you organize your shelves? Alphabetically or by genre? Just wanted to let you know that you're giving out absolute gems! You took so much time to answer one of my questions on another video yesterday and just know that I appreciate you so much!

Been reselling for a long time, more of a hobby now than a business- just don’t have the time. I have about 1,000 followers and 400 sales on whatnot. I stream once a month or so :)
