Let's face it, everyone knows that one worship leader whose calling just isn't, well, leading worship.

Before you take the shovel that is your life and start looking for Him in the ground, don't forget: Share, comment, subscribe. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Please note that this is all done in good fun and not meant to offend anyone

Special thanks to everyone who helped out with this project:

I've been in this ministry of praise and worship for almost 20 years now and boy, it's not easy. I have faked it on so many occasions and I know God also knows that I know it, and I have been honest to Him at least. I started off as a young and excited guy who thought being expressive and loud and being able to speak fluently and impressively were the ultimate qualities of this leader. Then God showed me gradually that it's all about Him and his grace and his love and his glory, and my heart of worship. I am still learning today because God keeps revealing himself in beautiful different ways. God bless all the worship leaders who have responded to His call and are sincerely standing in the gap as we lift up our songs of praise and worship. All I can say from my experience is... You will eventually learn to do the right way if your heart is in the right place and you seek God with all your heart and mind and might and soul :) May our hearts burn with passion for God and also burn with the urgency of spreading the good news to those who are yet to know of God's love. Blessings to all!
  • "In the bible somewhere in The Message translation its says..." I LOOL so hard.

I''m a worship leader and I find this really hilarious yet I don't know if I can laugh to this.

This morning I was doing the back-up singing during our service, and I think our team messed up the first song when we didn't hit the right key across the first few lines. The mess was very obvious. Later, after the service, one of our pastors approached the team, telling us how we failed to practice the fundamental concept of worship leading which, as he asserted, is good communication. I usually close my eyes when I do the back-up singing almost in the entirety of the delivery of the worship songs, and that, as he pointed out, is not bad but it may lead me to fail maintaining good communication with the rest of the team. He even added, "you are not just a worshipper, you are a worship leader." As a newbie in worship leading, I personally find the experience I had today very meaningful. I am not sure if all of the acts shown in the video are inspired by real events (because basically, the video's a joke), but some of them are observed in our congregation (although the atmosphere isn't really "mockish"). There are times when worship leaders stutter or say awkward words, but as a worshipper, I honestly don't care, for as long as the people on stage are pointing glory to God, I can still be in the place of worship. Worship leaders are a great factor, but it's the movement of the Holy Spirit that brings people into the genuine heart of worship. By the way, what is a "bad" worship leader? Those who are subject to improvement? Regardless of the intention of this video, I'm sorry but I think "Bad Worship Leaders" is not the best term to use here. It would have been truly nice if you have poured your great wits on creating a video that will teach a person like me who was just doing how-to-lead-people-into-worship searches (I arrived here instead) on how to effectively bring people into worship. A video about "Good Worship Leaders" will be a big thing to look forward to in this channel. Now let me subscribe. ;)

Tough to watch this. Even outside the church, bad crowd banter ruins a show. In the church, wow, too much talking in between songs destroys worship IMO. These guys aren't really making fun of God, I think they are just making fun of the awkwardness that comes with being inexperienced and undisciplined. Honestly, I think we all have done this at one point or another when playing in public.

I don't think this should be called bad worship leaders, but rather worship leaders in general. A lot of the stuff isn't bad. Maybe in the context it might look bad but when you're in that moment it's a completely different story and vibe.

As someone who has led worship this has been me lol "God works through coffee, I've seen it!" Best line
  • It's not perfection God wants. It's passion. He already has and know perfection. Most importantly worship in not for the congregation or the team. But worship is all about God and worship is for God. Let God alone be glorified that's it. It is not even about what we experienced during worship, how we feel the presence of God. The most important thing is that let God alone be glorified among his people. Worship is for God and all about God. Psalms 22 : 3 Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.

This, right behind the big plastic-smiled “greeters” that literally fall over each other to keep you from having to (God forbid) open the door, and then ask, “How was your week?” Barf.
