We didn't make it last time... let's see what happens if we try to Return to the Arctic. Driving and winter camping an old 1996 Ford F350 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel truck 2,000 miles up to the Arctic Ocean with the coldest weather I've ever experienced... what could happen? This is Episode 3 of the Return to the Arctic series.

  • Hey Tim! I’m a 38 year old black male born and raised in the Bay Area, Oakland/ San Francisco California that’s never been camping. I don’t do outdoors, I’m a city slicker… With that being said I am living the truck life through you… This might be my favorite channel. My lady friends think I’m crazy for watching your episodes. I stumbled across an episode and been hooked ever since. It’s very entertaining, thank you for the content.

I think this is one of my favorite videos of yours, Timmy. I’m a 70 year old guy who has always wanted to take this drive. My health now wouldn’t permit it, but its given me great pleasure to watch you do it. Proud of you, brother!!
  • That diesel clanking away would make me sleep like a baby. Those older Fords make an awesome noise.
  • @cynthiabeck1563
I found your channel right after my husband passed away. Your videos are great. I love how you talk to us like we r there. You have become my buddy who's traveling and taking me along. Thank you Timmy for all you do. Keep up the vids ❤
  • Choices in life make such a huge difference!!! Timmy your choice has enabled people all around our planet to enjoy life through your eyes. I am 73 and I have visited Alaska many times. You have helped keep me in touch with a part of my life I miss terribly! Thank you so much!! I drove the entire trip before cell phones as a single person traveling by myself! I didn’t listen to the radio. I listened to the “Voice” inside my heart, it totally changed my life!!! I always pray for you to stay safe, stay healthy and may the “Peace” we receive guide you and sustain you in the rough spots!! Godspeed my friend!! Thank you!🙏

Hey Tim I'm a 64 million year old Tyrannosaurus Rex that is living out of a converted Fred Flinstones vehicle and I just wanted to tell you that your videos inspire me so much. I even stopped ripping apart stupid Anatosaurus's and Triceratops for food and even taught myself how to speak English so I could use SIRI on my IPhone so I could leave this message for you because my dumb arms are too small to hold the phone and type. Thanks for being an inspiration to us all.

Tim, here’s the thing about idling a diesel overnight: raise your idle rate by a few hundred RPM. Not excessively high, but 750-800 RPM. Prevents wet-stacking/washing liners/cylinders. Better to spend $45 to idle than to be stuck like Chuck with a gelled-up truck. Power Service or Howe’s fuel treatment only works so far…this comes from 25 years and 2M miles+ of trucking experience, mostly transporting petroleum products…

As a Mexican, I’m proud that you actually slightly toasted the tortilla over a tad of oil. I see many non-Mexicans just grab the cold tortilla and add stuff, yikes. While it was not al pastor or carne asada tacos, ground beef is cool. We call it picadillo. Your tacos looked great and yummy. If you want to take your ground beef taco to the next level, add some Mexican chorizo as well. You can also cut little potatoes cubes and sauté them on the skillet until golden brown. Mix all those three ingredients up. So next time, have tacos with ground beef, chorizo, and potatoes. Mince onions and cilantro. Touch of lime. And of course salsa. Killer stuff! Great video as always!

Who doesn’t love it when Tim puts out a new video? Great content, absolutely beautiful scenery & drone shots and that unexpected bird attack… perfection!
  • @sharidavis4888
Timmy, I don’t even know where to begin. I found your channel maybe a month ago. Thankfully you have years of content for me to watch every day. Because that is what I’ve been doing. I’m living vicariously through you. I’m a 55 y/o grandmother who dreams of switching yucky, hard corporate work for something tangible. Something real. My time is coming. Until then, I’ll be here, watching you and cheering you on!
  • @chriswhite2151
Dang Timmy, you are a wild man! Every time you get out of the truck, I think "I hope he has a spare key in case the door accidentally gets locked!"
  • Enjoy every minute of your videos! I'm a 69 yo single female with a cargo trailer conversion (my mini cabin) pulled by a Ford Expedition. Your videos remind me not to panic when I come across difficulties along the way. So far, I find that I'm quite capable, once I slow down, breathe, and really think about what to do next. Keep 'em coming, Timmy! You're the OG up north!
  • @spfadden082711
That hawk coming after the drone may be one of the coolest things caught on tape
  • @r1299
Tim what you do takes guts, grit and confidence. Never sell yourself short brother. I know guys twice your size that would never attempt the things you do. Size has nothing to do with it. Size never hindered a wolverine! Great channel, keep doing what you're doing. Much respect.
  • @robynf7368
Hi Tim, I am an older viewer and am amazed at your adventures, from the crazy driving experiences, the house building and side trips. It makes me so anxious watching some of them but I cant turn it off. What really stood out in this one, and made me comment, was when you were suprised those people recognised you and valued what you do. I wonder what those kids at school who bullied you are doing, I wonder if any of them are watching you now as you take so many people on your journeys. Stand tall, you are brave and amazing.
  • @brucegwynn47
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for showing us all this beauty , that sunrise was absolutely beautiful and more people should know about this channel, I've told dozens of people that are into the landscape you travel
  • @chadmanl2121
I live vicariously through Tim… I work a corporate job in a big city, stuck in an office all day, wishing I had the freedom (and the courage) that he has. Thank you for posting the videos.
  • @CCM1199
That bird you saw attempting to "eat" your drone was indeed a Peregrine Falcon. For a minute there It looked like a Kestrel but after slowing the video down, It is a Peregrine Falcon
  • @vandas5613
The raptor attacking your drone was incredible. Also loved the musk oxen and that Arctic fox. The mountains were so beautiful. But that relentless cold 🥶🥶🥶
