So glad you guys had the guts to speak out against La Mer. Their pricing is just ridiculous

Shark biologist here!! Thank you for touching on the beauty products derived from sharks. If anyone else is curious squal-ANE is plant derived, squal-ENE is animal derived.

The Ordinary has made skin care accessible for so many people.
  • Holy cow, guys. Thank you SO MUCH for being the first YouTube derms to not only recognize those of us with fragrance allergies, but also how fragrant ingredients like limonene, lemon peels, orange, lime, grapefruit, linalool, etc. also can be very sensitizing! At 20, I developed severe contact dermatitis with allergies to fragrance, citrus, peppermint, cinnamon, and lanolin, and BOY was it hard. So many derms forgot and would tell me to buy aquaphor products (often had lanolin in it that I was allergic to) so stopped trusting derms. I started researching myself and watching skincare experts online to study ingredients and build my own “safe” database because my own doctors weren’t helpful. Thank you for boosting my faith in derms again!

I have a tiny fridge next to my bed for all my important stuff...snacks and beverages. I'll be damned if I woke up thirsty and found skincare in there.
  • "You guys are the most supportive group of people." You guys are providing valuable information for free!

Funny thing about La Mer. I looked at the ingredients, and the big ingredient is algae, which is great, however, they also added a preservative which, destroys….algae.

Skin Fridge is definitely the title of a horror movie
  • If I'm putting a fridge in the bathroom, it's going to have beer in it.

Thank you for speaking out about how ridiculously expensive a lot of skincare products are 🙏 I’m so sick of putting things back on the shelf because I refuse to pay that much! 😤
  • @alleycatwoman
Gosh I just want to say how much I enjoy listening to you guys. Such thoughtful, logical, and practical information shared in such an easy to understand format. I have learned so much from you both. I love your channel SO MUCH. Thank you so much for the education. Took me 51 years to do much of anything for my skin (other than sunscreen). Please keep the videos coming. They’re fantastic!

I just need to say as someone who wears hearing aids and has hearing loss, hearing damage and audio-processing disorder. Your Mics and all of your sound is absolutely AMAZING one of the clearest youtube channels to hear and understand, because sometimes the closed captions are definitely not what people are actually saying 😂 lol. Much Appreciated 💕

I'm in my 50s but you guys and James Welsh got me hooked on skincare. I've got a simple but consistent routine now and I really notice a difference. You're never too old to start taking care of your skin. Thank you for all you do.

You guys are so fun, and your content is so helpful. There are sooooo many skincare products out there; my head starts spinning every time I walk into Sephora or Target. Forever grateful for your help!
  • @lieslwise3294
Two attractive people teaching me about skincare? I'm ok with this.
  • @plutostar8072
When a brand starts selling stories instead of products, you know there is a trap.
  • @BabyBear046
I really appreciate y’all being real about brands with way overpriced items. Thank you thank you. Skincare at any price point is an extra cost/luxury, and while I won’t be buying a $300 serum it’s hard to know if the products that are lower priced are good and I don’t want to waste $10-$50 on a product that won’t do anything. It’s so hard to tell whats real. So it’s really helpful to get real information!! Thank you x100000
  • It’s so soothing to hear you both.Going through a tough time, appreciate your videos.
  • @lynsa3711
Thank you so much for confirming my bias about overpriced skincare! I really dislike getting sold to as a target demographic for xyz product at xyz price. Would love a video on peri-menopausal skincare because lord my skin!?
