Gypsies! They also sell bad vehicles (used RVs)to unsuspecting people. I ran into them twice on Craigslist.
  • Happened to me July 4th weekend. Drove up in a just detailed shiny new Tahoe wanting to sell a gold ring for gas money. I said “pretty nice truck to be needing to sell something for gas money. Not interested!” They (south of the border types) replied “hey don’t judge me man. Don’t judge me”. I said “well I am judging you and get the hell out of here”! They left.

Happened to me too. In New York City. Approached by a car, huge new SUV, might have been a Suburban. Inside a family, well dressed, with jewels. The driver tells me they’re from Saudi Arabia, they lost their phones and wallets and cards. They need cash to get back to their country. What they have is jewels, so he takes off his finger this huge ring which seems very nice. Seems like one of those rings they give if you win an NBA championship. I smell something fishy and I decline. Be careful people, they act on the surprise element and the fact that the majority of people out there is decent and willing to help the others. If you are caught off guard you can become a victim without even realizing it.
  • They approached me about a year ago. The guy was trying to sell me a ring for $20 for gas money. It was obviously very fake
  • those people tried this scam with me in the Bonney Lake Costco parking lot a few months ago, 2 middle east men and 2 women driving a white SUV with Oregon plates

Romani, Roma, travelers. One people, many names. They can come from several countries, not necessarily Romania since the name of the country Romania comes from once being a Roman military outpost. Romanian language is closely related to Italian. The Romas or Romani group of people originally came to Europe from present day India some 1000 years ago.

This happened to me. They had a 3 year old in the back seat.
  • @rictech.
They are dressed exactly the same.. and from the same tribe.
  • This happened to us earlier this year. Some guy in an SUV at a gas station in Newcastle saying he needed gas and was offering his chain and ring in exchange for cash. We kept offering to give him actual gas but he wanted cash
