An engagement ring is a contract of marriage...if you do not married said person you have to return the ring.....but im sure he felt she would have never returned the ring and considering court cost and lawyer fees ...he may have spent 10,000 just to get it back ...im sure she may have said she 'lost it" ...he did it the right way
