Addition: If you use a cloud plan without the Sync Module 2, live view is only available when someone rings the doorbell. A Sync module 2 is required for pulling up live view at will. There is no reason that these features should be disabled for local USB storage, it is simply Amazon fleecing us for monthly subscriptions.

Well done. I have had Blink for over 3 yrs now. All but one of my original cameras are still using their original batteries. Their cameras have been more reliable and trouble free than my Alarm company cameras costing twice as much.

I have the Blink cameras for over 2 years now and have not replaced the batteries, and I’ve heard a lot of reviews about batteries not lasting as promised and this video finally gave me that answer why I have not replaced the batteries. I have the module 2 and is helping with the battery life of my cameras. Thank you.. and now I’ll try the subscription plus local storage combo..

Great review of the blink module 2. I watched 3 other videos that didn’t really explain anything about how the system actually worked with and without the subscription in terms of what could be accessed.

Attaching the doorbell to the mount is a little difficult but once it locks into place it seems extremely sturdy. youtube.com/post/UgkxxHZwMa8CsRjYhf9s4W8w0Dwm47uyt… I replaced my regular doorbell with this and hard wired it in, using my existing wires and mechanical chime. It works perfect so far and integrates perfectly with my blink camera system. It also works seamlessly with Alexa
