It’s likely the poor animal lost its family in a fire. Hopefully it is being looked after and has some happiness restored.

The koala sitting in the backseat snacking on some leaves just like a child 😂😂 love it so much

It killed me seeing him sitting at the base of that tree looking like all is lost. But as soon as he was riding in your backseat having a snack he perked up and seemed to be happy. I think he needed your companionship. Thanks for being there for him.

That koala looked SO defeated and heartbroken. How confused they must be when huge disasters like this happen... these people are angels who were sent to the right place at the right time ❤️‍🩹
  • More proof that all animals feel pain, grief, and loss just like we humans do.. poor guy lost everything and was heartbroken 💔

I am so glad they went back for him, he looked so sad. Hope he finds a new family
  • He was grieving. He's lost his whole family and his home. Thank you for saving him. ❤
  • Thank you, as an older Australian Lady, all l can say is Thank you for your kindness. A piece of my heart is forever more broken, not fixable at the loss of a billion of our animals here. l still get tears in my eyes and you both produced them again. Thank you for coming back the next morning, l know the sadness the Koala is feeling, l won't forget you both. xxx
  • The poor koala is probably grieving the loss of family. I'm glad these people were able to help. Hopefully he will rebound emotionally. ❤️

A koala munching his leaves in the back seat of a tourist car .. that's the most precious thing I've ever seen ! 🐨🌿😄 Thanks to these two fellow Germans for helping this little guy out. 💖

Seeing him with snacks in the car melted my heart

That poor baby was severely traumatized. 🥺 He just needed to feel safe and you guys gave that to him. Thank you!💕💕💕💕

As an Aussie this quite literally broke my heart, seeing any animal in pain does but there's something about seeing an animal that we Australians hold so dear so helpless that had me just bawling my eyes out

My heart breaks for these gentle creatures. So glad for people like them. We all need to do our very best for all creatures. They need our assistance more than ever.
  • I love how these people picked this guy up and put him in their car with no box, nothing. That he even attempted to pick the koala up is so great. Some people would have left him there 💔 I have some limited experience volunteering with wildlife, but I work with domestic animals in shelters every day. I would’ve done the same thing ❤️❤️❤️ I hope he got over the trauma of what he went through and found happiness somewhere safe. Love these folks who saved him ❤️❤️❤️
  • This video is a powerful reminder that animals are capable of feeling a wide range of emotions, just like humans. It's heartbreaking to see the pain and loss that this animal has experienced

My heart broke seeing him under that tree,he may not have had visible burns but he was probably super dehydrated & i doubt he would've survived if he'd just been left to "find his own tree",these guys saved his life.

The poor soul. He looked so sad and defeatedly alone at that tree. He actually looked happier and content in the car. Guess he just wanted some company.

When Marcel said that the experience would stay with them all their life - he was absolutely correct - about 40 years ago we rescued a platypus - I've never forgotten him - hope he went on to have a great life.
