  • Alcohol and cigarettes addiction actually destroyed my life. I could remember several years ago after divorce with my husband which brought me into my disastrous journey on Alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

Every terrible decision I’ve ever made, every fight I’ve ever gotten into, every reckless behavior I’ve ever engaged in had one common denominator: ALCOHOL.
  • 22 years of no alcohol. Last drink was Dec. 31, 2000. The only New Year's resolution I ever made and kept.
  • I’m on day 1519 without alcohol. Drank like crazy in High School and College. Always had a drink after work when I got out of school. Now 62 and feel a whole lot better than when I was 42.

Sober now since July 4th 1976. No alcohol/ drugs. I am 69 yrs old and intend to live sober the rest of my life. I was a hard core drinker / user. I had to stop, slowing down was not an option. I had tried multiple times to stop nothing worked until I found something in my life more important to me than being "loaded ". For me it was God, for you it may be your kids or something else. I am grateful 🙏to be clean and sober. Best wishes ❤.

I'm so excited to start this journey. As a bartender who's been in the industry for around 6 years now, i've been drinking pretty much every day for the entirety of these years (4-5 beers a day + shots 3-4 days a week). I've even picked up smoking here and there again because of this bad habit. The pressure to drink because of my environment is very strong too. Its not fun anymore, it makes me sick now. I sleep wayy longer than i ever have. When i look in the mirror while i'm drunk, I feel so ugly. I know I'm an alcoholic, and its getting scary because my nerves are suffering. If I go most of the day without drinking, my hands start shaking. I don't even crave drinking anymore, it's a completely thoughtless act at this point. Just a part of every day life for me, and I need to stop. I want to be in the best health I can be, as a 29 year old woman. Today is day 1. Hopefully my alcoholic friends will also stop trying to hang out with me because i'm going sober. If I quit weed and drugs years ago, I can quit alcohol too. Sparkling water is going to be getting a lot of my money now :) Wish me luck guys!
  • I am about 2 years alcohol-free, and I can see myself never drinking again. I love the feeling of being "in the moment". I could go on and on, but basically, life is just so much more delicious!
  • Thanks I’m a chef, , pro chefs drink a lot , I’m on day 3 no alcohol, , was a daily six pack drinker for years, I’m 57 and changing!
  • I did a series of challenges, 30 60 90 days but I pretty much knew by 60 days I would be doing a year, nearly 15 months sober later I can honestly say stopping alcohol is the best thing I have ever done, I cant imagine I will ever drink again, I've gained so much knowledge regarding the effects of alcohol, I now see it for what it really is and not the lie that is sold to us, I have absolutely no desire to drink....love it
  • I'm 53 days sober! Feels good to remind myself. Videos like this are nice validation.
  • Great video. I’ll be 47 at the end of this month. Been drinking since high school. I pretty much lived a dive bar lifestyle in all of my 30’s and most of my 40’s. Drinking whiskey 7 days a week until blackout. Smoking cigarettes. At the same time eating healthy and working out. In my 20’s until late 30’s working out was ok. After that, the alcohol was affecting my fitness. The end of April 2022 I woke up one morning and my body told me I was done with alcohol. I haven’t had a drop since and I couldn’t be happier. I have zero cravings or desires and I don’t even think about it. My fitness is at a crazy level now and my diet is ultra locked on.

Thank you so much. Day 3 sober. I've done this before over 1 month periods. I'm trying to do this until August this time. Wish me luck guys 🙂

I have been off alcohol for 8 days now. Improved sleep is the first thing I noticed. I started waking up fully rested after 7-8 hours of sleep after 5 days sober. I look forward to clearer thinking and more progress physically.
  • I was fully 9mths sober. My mind at 30 days sober was amazing. At 3mths it was better than day 30. At 9mths it was better than at 3mths. It just kept improving and improving. One aspect I loved is I could file multiple things in my mind and come back to them at will. I could store them and then return to them as I chose. Contrast this to being anxious and having to control myself to focus on the one thing, and go back to the most important task as multiple things piled up in my job. Until you experience the level of clarity, the difference between a day or two sober and 9mts sober, you cannot understand. The difference is like night and day in terms of how I could use my mind. That's something that at 24 I had no idea about but at 42+ is gold!

I drank alot I was worried for my health my liver. I had just lost 100 lbs and thought I needed a break from alcohol to heal my body and get in shape and decided to stop for 3 years. That was 6 years ago I quit and am not going back I'm much much richer and healthier I'm down now 125 lbs to 175 lbs from 300+ in the best shape of my adult life. Alcohol was killing me. I'm 63
  • @Vincent_holt
103 days no alcohol for me… I used it to escape my anxiety disorder until i drank to much one night and the next day had the worst panic attack of my life. That was the last time I touched alcohol. Best decision I have ever made.
  • @kara.mcmaster
It feels like people are really starting to wake up. I am making this comitment to stay sobre not only for myself, but for my kids. I don't want my kids growing up thinking it's totally normal to have a drink or two everyday. Yet our social circles say otherwise. I'm here to break the generational curse. Great video.
  • I stopped for 4 years then I thought I could moderate, which I tried for 2 years. But comparing both states I came to the conclusion that living an alcohol free life was best for me. It took me about 6 months trying to get back on an alcohol free path as the pull for alcohol was strong. Now I am on 10 days without booze. Early days but my mindset is now clearly focused on staying dry
  • I’m 23 y/o and I’m on day 83! I honestly never want to drink ever again. It made my relationships with people and myself very difficult. I didn’t like who I was becoming and fell down a pretty dark path. Luckily I was fortunate enough to go to rehab and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. If you decide to get sober, keep going!! 100% will change your life for the better. I know I still have a ton to learn, but I crave learning now that my head is more clear.
