This doesn't sound like a real soldier, rather a child. I was in Iraq. Never thought I would hear somebody brag about snatching people out of their bed at night.

The locals would use the military as a way to settle personal vendettas or go after people who owed them money. You got used as a loan shark by an Iraqi car dealership.

Imagine an Iraqi doing this to you in the name of protecting Iraq
