In this video, I will be going through why EA released Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 on steam. GW2 is a sequel to Garden Warfare and it's a spin-off game to the origin tower defence Plants vs Zombies .
After seeing success of PvZ, EA have acquired Pop Cap the developers of PvZ for a ridiculous sum of $750 million!
After taking over pop-cap EA has made Plants Vs Zombies 2 , Plants Vs Zombies 3 , Plants Vs Zombies Heroes , Plants vs Zombies garden warfare 1 as well as PvZ GW2 and Plants vs Zombies Battle for Neighborville .

Was EA successful with Pop Cap ? I'm not exactly sure, but they are trying their best to make the Plants Vs Zombies franchise great and maybe its because EA are planning to get acquired by Microsoft or someone else!
If the company EA gets bought out by Microsoft or someone else , like Amazon or Tencent , then we may be looking at EA changing many thing and it could be fore the better or worse.

  • the new steam players have already left the game… they released it on steam like a month or two ago and for a week and a half the servers were almost always full of players to the point that nobody could join games, and the player count hit an all time high of 4,000 something like that. 3 or so weeks ago, the playerbase died down by a few thousand players. maybe ea will notice how much better gw2 has been performing than bfn ever did, but honestly i think that’s being a bit optimistic

GW2 was extremely fun - the lobby has so much to do, there was secret content to unlock like Torchwood and Hovergoat, and it still had the unique variants, but BFN had some really out there ideas which I wouldn’t mind seeing in some kind of GW3. I liked the idea of the Swarm class (never played it, but it looked really interesting), the combo classes are an interesting idea, and… didn’t they have new characters on the way or something?
  • How to get people to come back to your old game: Make the sequel worse

Based off of this game getting updated, I hope that they pay attention to games such as PVZ2 and PVZ heroes. PVZH has a large fanbase and it needs an update or new cards to keep the fanbase engaged

The community would be in a whole different situation if the release order was BFN, GW, and then GW2
  • Battle for neighborVille had some good things about it but overall garden warfare was much better. Wizard was really fun to play as but not against.

I hope that this release on steam means that gw2 will start getting new updates. It’s unlikely, but I can hope.
  • It's a shame bfn was so bad, I liked the new characters, but it just wasn't worth playing outside the story mode imo (and even then it wasn't that good).

I am HOPING that they continue the shooters and ya made me hyped!

Already 6 years? Man I hope this game franchise makes a comeback. I've played almost all the pvz games.

This game needs a revive, it’s too good to let die. It’s my damn childhood. It’s Overwatch BUT FUN! (OW is good competitively it’s hard for me to just have fun in it). This video encapsulated this pretty well (but you do repeat some stuff so it could use a bit of polishing, other than that it’s really good.)

I really feel like BFN made us all realize how good GW2 was. At least for me, I got back into GW2 after BFN was such a disappointment. I really hope that we get a game that has some of the balance changes from BFN, but keeps all the good stuff from GW2
  • I don't want them to make 3 they are so out of touch with what made them great just like the rest of the gaming industry and EA fired the main creator of gw2 If i was working for them I would just update gw2 and the player base would come back strong if they add more more shit and doing community events and new maps new modes and bring everything offline too and see how that goes for a while then make gw3 after a few years more people would buy the game and bring new people to game its not that hard to understand what the community want for the game
  • @FeddytheReal
This is literally one of my favorite third person shooters of all time, honestly.
  • I just want the fun game modes to come back like dino vs cats, boss hunt, soil survivors, battle of exploding hero’s and etc. that’s all I want like at least add them even if it’s solo play
  • @RandomVids5YT
FunFact: PopCap planned on eventually adding new game modes and character variants to BFN, but EA saw it was failing (even though it’s been 3 months) and decided to take control over it and introduced micro transactions instead and abandoned it. FunFact#2: PopCap was celebrating GW1 hiring 8Million players…..then EA came in and told them to stop showing support to that game. FunFact#3: EA abandoned GW2 simply because they saw the community was happy how the game was….then they proceeded to nerf crap and get rid of community challenges and boss hunts just to dip and work on a worse game.
  • Id love to see if they somehow fused gw and gw2 together because i love the older graphics made it have a feel as if the plants were more realistic and the maps OH the maps
  • The problem with battle for neighborville is fight system, it feels so weird and that you can also now sprint with character. Also I like the charakter designs from GW2 way more.
  • I hope GW2 gets revived because it was the first real online game I ever played and is pretty special to me. I’d love to see it return.
