That's actually a very interesting topic for discussion: Your pee (from what I've learned) should normally be a light yellow, however if you are dehydrated it will darken due to having a higher waste to water ratio. Also if you begin a new exercise routine particularly one that builds muscle, the enzyme that your body excretes while rebuilding the damaged muscles can make your urine darker and also smellier. Lastly vitamin supplements or medications can and will change the color and consistency of your pee... so generally as long as it doesn't change to a completely new color or smell (without a reason), and remains more or less consistent to your normal it should be OK... but if it darkens to a tea like color for longer than a day or you feel pain you should go to the hospital

The water repellent membrane also prevents you from beeing cooked like a hotdog when being exposed to water vapour. Everytime you open a nozzle inside a hot room is like a sauna infusion... only with a nozzle instead of a cup or soup ladle.
