baking with jake is by far the best series from jake in my opinion 😭
  • @HeiHeii
Props to the chef! she's so sweet and patient 😭 and the dishes looked INCREDIBLE!!

tuonto's "baking with jade" series can be said to be one of the rare things that few people do, and he even invited a pro chef, which is really interesting :)

it’s so fitting that the chicken-mushroom skewers are dish’s favorite since the specialty variant is kaeya’s (fruity skewers)!!
  • When the chef said “I can’t even handle hot Cheetos” she literally became my idol like that’s real low key real
  • @Matchalofa
Maybe for a future "Baking with Jake" video, you could hire a pro baker (chef?) to make the birthday cakes we players get every year, but the cake flavors reflect the region they're from? Great video!

food is definitely the best part of genshin, seeing it professionally made is awesome

20:53 dish is me having flashbacks to every xiao & zhongli moment. I first discovered this by watching the genshin gourmet tour video (which is v cool btw! seeing the presentation & cooking process is so immersive bcs you get to see how it'd look like if those dishes were made traditionally like in genshin). it's cute how they both seem fond of osmanthus
  • THE CHEF WAS SO CHILL AND COOL ABT YOU GUYS AND THE REFERENCES AND QUESTIONS PROPS TO CHEF KRYSSIE!!! also i did know almond tofu was not actually tofu because i fed it to itto once and he didnt die (he wasn’t like ew abt it) so i looked it up and that’s how i found out!
  • Fun fact mora meat is actually a traditional Chinese food called rou jia mo 肉夹馍, it isn’t just meat with two buns, its like meat, and veggies in between two buns(not really) they’re like, crunchy and flaky with a lot of layers, I love it so much

The reason chop suey is so different is because it comes from the word for leftovers. And in the US, people loved the dish so much that they made it a significant thing while in China, it tends to just be beef or chicken innards stewed because they were leftovers from the actual meat dishes
  • Hats off to the chef for explaining the minute details, variations and subtleties of those dishes
  • @sunshinerii
Their looks when she mentioned innards!! 😂
