Tribute to Sabrina

I grew up with a black cat, so it was nice to have another one as an adult. “Breeny” was a cute, little, fluffy black cat, which never once went to the vet, except for shots, until she had kidney disease in her old age. Then I would take her to the vet, along with her sister, mom, and aunt, twice a week to get subQ fluids, which helped them to avoid dehydration. She didn’t always like it, in fact for a while she would fight it. I thought I was going to lose her then. But she managed to endure it for a while longer.
As I said before, the hardest part of having cats was watching them decline. Breeny came to a day where her energy was gone. On her last day, she wanted to go upstairs but only managed to walk a short distance before she couldn’t go any more. Her meow was soft and pitiful… it was heartbreaking.
Making all these tribute videos has caused a lot of pain in my heart. I miss these kitties so much! My only comfort is in the hope that I will get to be with them again someday, on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

My mom fostered some kittens back in 2021, and their momma cat was named Sabrina. She looked just like the kitty in this video. She had feline breast cancer, and died shortly after weening her kittens. She was such a dedicated momma even though she was so sick!!
