I myself am not Jewish, but your videos are so peaceful and the synagogue is extremely beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
  • I live about 20 minutes from where the Tree of Life Synagogue in PA was the target of a horrible mass shooting. Thankfully, he was found guilty and is awaiting his sentence. How anyone could inflict such violence on a beautiful religion and its people is beyond me. I have prayed and will continue to pray for the victim's families. I have an even greater respect for the Jewish religion from watching your videos. I have learned so much.
  • Dear Sarah Malka! My favorite element is you telling me everytime that "You are enough just the way you are!" It means so much to me!! Thank you!!
  • I'm Christian and have been struggling with prayer and faith, so your videos have been so helpful for me to grow closer to God through these traditions. Also you have one of the best voices for voice-over on youtube! ❤
  • One thing that continues to warm my heart is that many things within the Jewish faith seem to be done with such purpose. Everything has a reason, and a history. For a religion that has faced such continual hardship throughout history, it makes me so happy to learn about the importance of all of your rituals and holidays, and that items related to your faith such as the mezuzah, the Torah covers, and even Shabbat table settings are so special and ornate. It shows me, as an outsider, the love that goes in to your faith and the care you take in practicing it. I love witnessing others who are so dedicated to their faith.
  • I remember as a child our school arranged a visit to a synagogue. It was fascinating. I still remember the kosher kitchen with the separate areas for fish and meat. As an adult, I now appreciate the synagogue for allowing us inside and giving us a tour.
  • @Zoldidi
I am a Muslim woman and know very little about Judaism. Really liked watching this video. Thank you for sharing.
  • Thank you so much for this presentation. My very dearest friend who passed several years ago was Sephardic. I always drove her to Friday night services at the local reform synagogue. There were no other synagogues here then. She told many wonderful stories about growing up Sephardic and when I watch your presentations I am flooded with memories of her and feel like she is with me.
  • As a traditional Catholic, I see the links between the worship and worship space and the set up of our sanctuaries! It makes my participation at our Liturgy so much clearer thank you Sister Sarah for sharing this beautiful video with us! Of course as St. Paul points out, you are the First Born in the Faith and gave us our Shape! Shalom!
  • I lived in the Jewish orthodox neighbourhood of the High Rabbi of South Africa. My next door neighbour invited me to temple. It was a wonderful experience.
  • @Yeshayah5742
I am not Jewish, but I want to be, Everything in your synagogue is Beautiful specially the Torah writings just priceless.
  • @calanm7880
Dear Dr Malka, this video was a breathtaking & marvellous insight into this place of worship. I am woefully uninformed about Judaism, so your kind warm guided tour of an Orthodox Synagogue is so helpful & informative! From the Tree Of Life display of inscriptions to the seating, you explained significance of these personalised aspects well. As a book lover, my favourite bits were you explaining the books supplied to worshippers and their purposes (I loved the wee pictures on spines to indicate when to be used), but most especially the stunning scripture scrolls! If appropriate, please convey thanks to all involved for the intimate film views of not just of the incredible skilled handwritten scrolls and their remarkable containers (which I understand are utmost sacred), but also seeing the honourable position in which they are housed in your house of worship! And attention to detail by architects and builders, that the steps on upper balcony were somewhat shallower. I think I’ll watch this again. My first video of yours (which got me to subscribe recently) was your tour of a kosher shop, which again was an delightful education. Oh and as final comment, I did love the digital clock showing all the information about times and dates in different formats - what a clever and practical piece of technology! And your signing off in narrating this YouTube was so full genuine warmth and spiritual connection, I was personally moved. Many thanks
  • I loved connecting with you! Years ago I worked for a dentist who was Jewish, as I had never known anyone Jewish before I bought some books and did some reading. One day I had the courage to ask him if I could ask him a couple of questions as some of the books had different views. He was surprised but willing to answer my questions. It came down to orthodox versus newer reformed. When they had a baby naming for their daughter they invited me to attend as they thought that I would basic understanding and would be respectful. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was honoured to be their. Now I know more about a more orthodox version. Thank you!
  • Thank you Sara for opening to us places that we maybe wouldn't ever have a chance to enter, the idea of connecting to new cultures and religions is such a beautiful exposure even more it being brought to us by you and your simplicity. it really means a lot 🥰 may god be on your side today too.
  • @jlmoore04
I am struck with a sense of awe and wonder about how the Torah scrolls are decorated so beautifully. The word of the Almighty adorned with such honor and splendor. I love it!
  • @DannyWBrownJapan
This is a very beautiful walk through of your synagogue. I am a Christian, and I especially wanted to see a Sephardic synagogue, so this was very helpful so I could see a different Jewish tradition than I have seen before. I enjoyed the beauty and symbolism, as well as hearing some of the customs by which you worship and interact. May God bless you.
  • @yeppiesheppie
Sara, thank you for your outstanding, continuous efforts to share your life with us! I learn so much in each and every one of your videos, all presented with care AND charm. Many days have passed in my life where your kind closing words were a much-appreciated boon. I love to connect with you! Thank you again ❤
  • Love the tree of life, not only it is beautiful, this is also a powerful reminder everyone is a part of a community, a part of something bigger than just an individual. Brilliant.
  • I really appreciate your effort in making your religion known to people of other faiths... Thank you
