She is my favorite voice of all time. I listen to and appreciate all genres of music, but when asked my favorite artist, it’s Etta, hands down. I feel she was so underrated and better than a lot that rose higher in fame. She gives me goosebumps. Love you, Miss Etta.

  • Saw her live in 78…made me weep. She was born in the city I was born in, died in the city I went to high school in, and is buried in a mausoleum that I did the grading and excavation for.

Etta James was so talented Her Habit was her pain . R.I.P. Bless her soul
  • She lived to be a good old age and even though she was upset about it, she got to hear one of her famous songs sung for the first Black President of the US States of America. She was truly beautiful though she had many struggles.
  • Everyone talks about how great her voice was after she passed away. Why wasn't she told this when she was alive.

Thank you, this was a lady with a superbe voice indeed
  • Loved her. She was born to do what she did. Fantastic singer in blues! It also goes to show you that we’re all human and we make mistakes in life and sometimes addiction harder for others. At least she tried but she seem to be around a lot of Temptation and that’s got to be really hard for her. People are weaker than other people. But she tried. Thank God for that. I listen to her music all the time I loved her since I was a kid. I’m a musician as well and I love to watch her when she really feels it in her bones in her music. Till we meet on the other side Rest In Peace Etta.
