I finished reading her book it is quite remarkable, listening to this interview it almost feels like she has Stockholm syndrome, it’s not love when someone hits you, or puts your head in the toilet bowl or parents that don’t support you because you see life differently than them. I truly hope she creates her own loving entourage that will support her inner child. I sense her inner child needs a big hug.

So much insight and wisdom for someone so young.

Tara, I hope it's made into a mini-series or a movie. Please.

This is an incredibly revealing interview. Of the dozen I've watched in fascination of the story, none have shown the author's - completely understandable - lack of education. All families are not cults. Fun, pastoral childhood pursuits don't outweigh familial abuse and violence. And binge watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer as an adult with such history reveals that her 13 year old self hasn't been as left behind as the ending of the book describes. I'm guessing she's less than halfway through her Education, something no interviewer I've seen has pointed out to her. It would be a shame if someone with so much more to learn, and hopefully teach, would skip those lessons herself and become a Podcaster/media personality on such an incomplete base. I hope she spends a few years learning about child development and family systems before she vlogs on rural education and her opinion that anyone can learn anything they want on their own better than with a teacher in school. Her own education in this way has some glaring gaps.
