  • Sounds amazing! Outstanding job on the restoration and I love the color!

The Chevy 302 was the truest factory, race motor ever built. They were not drag cars. The short stroke and big bore.

Man, that is superb. Congrats. That Chevy 302 is one sweet engine.

  • @cbarsonfire
Very nice sound and engine compartment detailing.
  • My dad had a new '57 Belair 283 power pack. 240 horse with a PG. If I only had that now.....
  • @Boobtube.
they are just like they were in 1969. headers made in 2003 from a company in PA called Stahl headers in York PA. google them. they fit great, without having to "ding" the header tube to fit around the steering box, like you have to with most headers on Camaro's.

awesome engines. just like v8 motor cross engines, short stroke, wide bore, high revving monsters. awesome.

  • @Boobtube.
@annspade thanks Ann...it is mostly stock..just the way they were in 1969..like a time capsule you could say.
  • @AaronKaleniecki
@drpepper350 but the headers are? those look like 67 Bill Thomas Headers, which are about as correct as you can get, but still not "RIGHT" on a 69 unfortunately. PS was an option on 69z the p/s bracket is wrong but aside from that - from what you can see the parts look right
  • @clank4001
@XboobtubeX they also didnt come with headers, they had cast iron log manifolds believe it or not
  • @Boobtube.
@drpepper350 what part of the power steering is not original? It was a option for the 69 Z's.

@woodzo40 yea.....they don't "wake up" till around 5 grand on the tach, but when they do.....hold on!
