  • Even after the trauma and depression and PTSD, he is still worthy.

I know Fat Thor was mostly played for laughs, but it's actually pretty heartbreaking once you stop and think about it... The amount of trauma and loss this dude had to go through to get to this point is just unimaginable.

Thor: I am the strongest avenger Captain Marvel: hold my beer Thor: drinks the beer 😂🤣😂🤣
  • @JBrander
Korg is definitely an unsung hero. He was with Thor during his lowest time by mitigating his depression with beer, chips, and gaming.

He lost his father, mother, brother, had to kill his sister, lost Asgard and all his people.........ion blame em for being what he is.
  • I love how Scott is just so enthralled by Thor's drunken rambles because aliens are a new thing for him.
  • As someone who’s struggled with depression before some of these scenes really hit hard.
  • Wanda loses everything: Creating sitcom Thor loses everything: Playing Fortnite and becomes fatter

When you realize Fat Thor is accurate to mythology.

Every guy in 2011: Wish I could look like Thor Every guy in 2019: Now I can definitely look like Thor
  • Thors' mom immediately knowing he was from the future and also in deep pain is one of the most accurate things to real life in this movie, sometimes mom's just know without having to be told
  • @guillerme_2005
"Is he asleep" "No, no, I'm pretty sure he's dead" That part gets me every time 🤣😅
  • @rexflamingo1037
He lost his eye, his hammer, his hair, his friends, his best friend, his brother, his mother, his father, his girlfriend, half his people, his planet.... I'm sure there's more that I'm just not thinking of right now. Like... Honestly he lost so much that this should have happened sooner.

A little analysis on Thor. His character at the beginning if the Marvel franchise was cocky and arrogant, sometimes brooding. He had a sense of humor, though along with a sense of superiority to the tiny, petty humans. His character started getting more comfortable and his humor came more forward when he loosened up and began to see the Avengers on equal footing, maybe even to the point of insecurity at times. The events during and right before Ragnarok had a profound effect in humbling Thor. His mother was killed. His father died. He lost his hammer. He found out he had an evil sister and his Father's past was all a lie. His best Asgardian friends were all killed by said sister. Hela killed all of Asgard's military. Thor lost his hair. Look at his interaction with Loki in the Gladiator prison. At that point Thor was just done. Nonchalant humor and being completely laid back was his coping. After Infinity War, completely laid back became near completely apathetic. Of all the character to turn into a fat, goofy, broken, drunk, Thor's made the most sense.
  • That moment you realize Fat Thor is probably the most accurate depiction of the original Norse Mythology version of Thor.
