I'll give you a list of everything you need to buy in order to make a DIY sprinkler system for your plants and where to find everything.
Our superstar gardening guru Jamie (Find her on instagram at @Garden_Grown) shows us exactly how to set up and install the self timer sprinkler / drip irrigation system for plants, to make sure her garden in Melbourne, Australia gets plenty of water all year round, even when she's away on holidays.
The self timer automatic irrigation can be set for daily or every few days, and you can choose how long to water your garden and plants for.
Parts you'll need to make a DIY automatic sprinkler irrigation system to water your garden on a timer - we've used examples from Bunnings but you can buy similar parts from any other hardware or garden centre.

Lovely video, what kind of mulch would you suggest using in garden beds and the container herbs please? I realize that I need to take out weeds almost every 2 days from my garden bed

Can use the thin hose from the faucet to the sprinklers instead of the thicker hose?

What about the residual water left in the tubing between watering times? Does the hot water (in the summer) damage the plants at all? I have a very long hose but small garden...im afraid I'd burn the plants

Do you leave the tap on all the time? How does the timer stop the water from running?
