Woah! My first Geometry Dash video! Maybe my last!

I got 10 of my friends to rank 50 Extreme Demons I handpicked, with 1 being the best ranking and 50 being the worst. While this trend has been done many times between different regions of the world, there really wasn't anything concrete to differentiate each of those opinions, so I decided to make this video to see how different it would be compared to Geometry Dash players. This took 6 months to make, and I am glad for this to have finally come out and I once again thank everyone who helped me make this video!

I think this is a cool case study on how conditioned we are as GD players to look for and appreciate specific factors in levels, seeing as how many fan favorites appear so low on this ranking. It's almost as of the community's perception of levels has been trained to look for "objective" qualities in levels. It's cool to see such an unfiltered opinion on levels. Good video!

this video is both infuriating seeing good levels down in the list but also fascinating

THERES NO WAY LOOOOOOOOOOOOL [the immax interview got significantly funnier when I remembered that i originally invited immax to misfire LOL]

Great video, love how you improve the idea. Kinda cool to see an unbiased opinion from outsiders. Hope to see more form you, great work!

i knew this was going to be a messy list when i saw Nhelv and Cold Sweat in the bottom 5. great video tho

Thanks for having me. Was really fun to participate and the video ended up being really really well made!

Really awesome video! It’s cool to see different perspectives of these cool levels from the view of people who dont know how impressive most of these levels are (hence why nhelv is 47)

when a dude with 100 subs has better videos than some with millions

Having both my extremes make this selection (and Mk II being in the running) is super cool to see. Getting third is unreal.

It’s really interesting how impossible to predict this list feels, I expected there to be a lot more of a pattern

This was a really interesting video. It was fun to see Artificial Ascent still be considered one of the greats like 7 years after it's conception. My only issue is I feel you could've been EVEN MORE varied in your picks. Every pick seemed to be either really modern or polished to an almost immaculate degree. I think including older, or just more "raw" levels, levels that are more rough around the edges would've definitely made it even more interesting. Something like a Keias mega colab, TeamN2 level, It Back, OX, or one of the ancient creations like Silent Club, would've really given them a bit of whiplash and made them think about how building ability has changed over the years

Slaughterhouse above LIMBO, Cold Sweat, Nhelv, Sunset Sandstorm, Quaoar, and so many other fantastic levels is nutty

This is a great video! Definitely shows that putting effort into your level's concept and central identity can go a long way. Also have to wonder what extent people ranked levels based on the music. A lot of the ~40-50 levels have VERY unapproachable songs (Nhelv, Neutra, Cold Sweat). Meanwhile, everything in the top has much more appealing songs. There's a lot of interesting takeways that the GD community could take away from this, especially with 2.2 coming out soon. I hope this video gets a lot of attention from the algorithm!

Awesome video! Very interesting to see how it all played out! One thing to possibly add is to highlight the highest and lowest rankings received for each level green and red respectively, so they can be seen a bit easier?

Hi I have a couple questions!! 1. Were the levels presented in a specific order for all the paricipants? (e.g. a google doc or sheet with a list of links that were in the same order every time) 2. Do you think some of the high scores given to Storming Summit and Halberd are in large part due to those scorers being familiar with Celeste/Kirby? 3. Anything to note about the music taste of your friends, or are they mostly normal? 4. Do you still have a spreadsheet of the data you used to calculate the averages? I'd be interested in having a copy to maybe look at some other statistics myself (e.g. standard deviation) Cool project by the way, it was pretty interesting to see!

Really cool video, but would be nice to get the voices of the non gd players anyways i really enjoy the perspectives of non gd players when they see what the community has been up to. Keep it up!
