We take a marvelous Fall trip to Alaska's Alpine Tundra in search of caribou, moose or black bear. We hunted hard, enjoyed good food in our toasty tent with the dogs and walked many miles on the mountainous terrain. Although no animals was harvested, everlasting memories were made.

I really enjoyed hearing Ariel talk about enjoying the peace she finds when she is alone in such a beautiful place. She describes her experience so earnestly.

As an older person i appreciate the energy and endurance younger bodies are capable of. So glad watching this beauty on a warm soft couch ๐Ÿ˜Š

You guys are always on an โ€˜adventureโ€™ - whether itโ€™s gardening, building, hunting, cooking, etc. - always entertaining us. Thank you so much!

Being alone in nature is just restorative. It refills what the stress of life takes away.
  • There is no way to describe the peacefulness of camp. You either love it and it fuels your soul or you have probably never experienced it. We take new friends to our wooded property by a stream and if they don't love sitting by the fire doing nothing but cooking and eating, they are not our people!!!

Ariel. Way way back in 1975, I experienced the same feeling you had here. And it was profound. I was in the mountains of Colorado with my dog Jess. I had the opportunity to listen to complete silence, breathe in the scent of the woods, witness the brightest stars Iโ€™ve ever seen or ever will see. And I communed with something more powerful than me. And to this day (Iโ€™ll be 70), Iโ€™ve never really had such a powerful realization of my being and the beauty of what the world should be like than that few days when I was young. Thank you, darling lady, for your lovely insight. My favorite video to date. โค๏ธโค๏ธ

Wow, you two are hard core! Your devotion to your pups yet not letting them keep you from hunting is really admirable. It's stunning out there... Glad you enjoyed yourselves.

For a minute, after Eric downed his bird, I thought the air was filled with insects, but it was SNOW!!!! You guys all have fun!

The seasons in Alaska change so quickly.
  • I think the word you were looking for is Blessed. There's something so humbling about being in a place that always puts you in awe.

I love the way yโ€™all always do the right thing and follow the rules. Can you imagine what this world would be like if more people were like that. Good Luck hope you get that bear.
  • @ph00xy
I am always a bit envious of y'all's lifestyle until I see snow in September.

I live in a big east coast city, working a big, hectic job. Camping and spending time in the mountains is my passion. The quietness and vastness of waking in the wilderness makes me feel complete. Somehow everything makes sense when that silence settles in.
  • Peaceful beauty โค. Animals or not . . . GREAT adventure! Thanks for bringing us along ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Bush moose is very tough but easy to dress out. And comes with its own toothpicks. Thank you for your artistry Arielle. Your view of Alaska is always breathtaking. Had some concern when you guys split up. I always "feel" safe with Eric around. Hope your trek home was not a scary one and I hope Pepper was not too mad at you guys.
  • Best part of the week when youโ€™re videos are posted thanks for sharing your story
  • @soozzi
Simply stunning cinematography. Epic scenery to watch for someone who lives in sub-tropical Australia.
  • @IdahoEagle77
Man, you guys are living the life. Hunting and cooking your own food in Alaska. Self-sufficient. Beautiful mountains. The perfect life. When the economy fully breaks down, you both should be in a really good position for providing for yourselves. Your food always looks so amazing :)
  • @robertspies4695
Some of the video of the rolling foothills capped with early snow and clouds rolling through was just breathtakingly beautiful. I miss Alaska.
