    Plea deal should only be offered if the families of victims approve it. If this set of lawyers are not confident in winning the case then they should quit and let others do their job for them. Offering a plea deal because they can't do their job is malpractice

    I'm sorry, I'm dark humored but... yeah, I'd say that the negotiations aren't exactly going well when the lead negotiator wound up dead... definitely a bit of a set-back, but we're confident we can still reach a deal!
