    I actually appreciated the character change for Chani. She was the perfect contrast to Stilgar's religious fanaticism. From my understanding, a lot of folks saw Paul as a hero after reading the first Dune book, hence why Frank wrote Messiah. He was never supposed to be perceived as a hero. The message was a warning not to obsess over charismatic leaders. I think Denis did a good job of making that better known.

    i like that this movie isn't woke.... It is focused on the actual story and not some political agenda of today's world
  • Timothée chalamet did a great job capturing Paul atriedes however Zendaya was the weakest performance in dune 2

    Changing the character of Chani was the dumbest whiff. Screws up the whole series going forward. But of course the revisionist historian crowds will eat it up.
