When you have an offensive line like this, it doesn’t matter who’s running the ball. Also, just some food for thought - Beebe opened up nearly every hole that Vaughn ran through in college. They already have great chemistry.

Idk why ppl don't believe in rico if you've seen him play this year he was actually pretty decent
  • @cmoney1818
This reminds me of the year we let darren McFadden start and he still had over 1000 yards that year

I love Rico he's soo good I call him the bunny rabbit and lives to that name every time he touches the ball. We got the most underrated rb room now.
  • I recommend reviewing the year Emmitt held out when Jerry thought the same thing, a great offensive line can make running backs. No. And for those that think Rico is an RB1, are you drafting him in the 1st 3 rounds of your fantasy draft? Yeah, that's what I thought
  • I honestly feel pretty alright with the RBs we have, especially with the Oline revamp
  • @mikemcfly1980
I just want Deuce to get a legit shot at RB. Not just gadget stuff

This kinda reminds me of 2015 cowboys running back group: which consisted of Joseph Randle, Alfred Morris, and Darren McFadden. All of those guys ran behind the Great Wall of Dallas and all three shine in their moments. I think when you look at this group is definitely shaping as Ezekiel Elliott, Rico Dowell, and Deuce running behind a restructured line that can open up lanes; whether if it’s in the inside or outside. If it worked in 2015, it can work again in 2024
  • Dowdle behind a consistent O.L. will avg 5+. If I'm not wrong he was top 3 in yards after contact. He can catch out of the backfield and break a 40+. Behind a more consistent O.L. Luepke can get the hard yards slide out for pass and break a 40+ Davis has this offseason to show up. If all works out and we get our best 5 blocking with our T.E.s we can avg 5+ a carry and be just fine with Dowdle, Zeke, Luepke as our first 3.
  • Zeke had nearly 1000 scrimmage yards as a backup and he was playing behind the patriots o-line.

Likely, 💣 DM-Zach, 💣 each will have moments and games where they shine individually, depending upon their skillsets and the defensive personnel we face Lone backs that shine game in and game out are maybe on 10 teams Most teams have 2 RBs that contribute moderately It's not a need for a 1 RB workhorse, necessarily for success... As long as the production equals 3rd down conversions, sustained drives, and redzone success 🔥 🔥 🔥 Thx Brotha

Running Back by Committee is not new. 1974 Calvin Hill, Robert Newhouse, Walt Garrison, Charley Young, Doug Dennison and less Strayhorn ALL had + yards from scrimmage as RB. To make things more complex so did Roger Staubach, Billy Joe DuPree,Charly Waters,Drew Pearson (several others had 0 or negative yards.. Benny Barnes *DB had 1 catch for 37 yards .

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we over feed zeke and he averages 2-2.5 yards per carry and kills drives at an alarming rate. Not sure I have as much Dowdle confidence as you but I couldn't agree more on Vaughn. His parents lived next door to my sister in Fayetteville when Chris was linebacker coach. When you raise kids right they become outstanding adults and the Vaughn's just get it. I hope he gets his share of touches and he can stay healthy.

I think the RBs we have now are fine, use them this year and draft Ollie Gordon next season!!! I want to hear about the new TEs specifically Alec Holler. Anyways good content as always.
  • @DV87777
I've been saying this the whole time. I mean once Brooks and Benson were off the board..I don't think they viewed anyone better than the 7 guys they have... 2 of which were drafted and hardly played.
  • I stand by my theory that the goal this offseason is to rebuild the lines and get better stopping the run. Next offseason the offense will get an overhaul. New quarterback, running back and head coach.
