I’m so glad my feed rolled over onto one of these videos. I’ve never heard of Alan watts before this past month or so. He is one of the very few I’ve ever listened too, that made any sense to me at all. Every thing he says just feels like truth. Thank you for sharing. These insights feel like he is speaking poems strait out of my heart, that were always there, but I was never able to find the words to express them.

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my YouTube channel 6 months ago about self development. Now I have 501 subs and > 100 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
  • I get quite wrapped in the ego. Alan Watts really reminds me I am not here to crave money and things. I want this stuff, I get it sometimes and sometimes it comes with good emotional states. But other times it comes with negativity.. because I start worrying about it, thinking I'm missing it causes struggle. And listen to this puts me in a mindset that allows me to see the fallacy of that negative emotion behind my craving for certain things. I feel I'll learn to articulate this better over time but I'm sure it's relatable at this level as is. I know that going after money and materials can be positive. But like Watts says, it can be come too serious, too full of frustration. And I'm trying to learn to remember this frustration doesn't need to be acted on nor worried about. The seriousness of it is a lie.

What a Legend " ...., Amazing listening and recollections of today ......, Thanks Heaps for the BLAST " !!!! .... got the grey matter pumping 👍👍✨✨🌎🌍
  • He might convince me to become a buddhist I just don’t have the time as of now to put slot of effort into it. Work and school take over my life but listing to his voice has helped me understand that life is a game and you really need to play it the right way. I have many goals and ever since I have listed to this man speak for the first time I’ve done nothing but push myself to complete them. Some have taken longer than others but the past few years of my life have been extremely rewarding due to all of my accomplishments. I can say I enjoy living unlike how I felt when I was younger and felt as if life was never going to work for me.
