I discovered Viva Raw from your channel. It's our go to for Filo's meals. Thank you for introducing Viva!

Hey Jess! Thanks so much for these videos! I want to buy some of your recipes... wondering if you are able to tell me how much Now Bone Meal I can substitute in your recipes if I buy them? Thanks for your time!

Cats do get vegetable matter in the wild by eating the intestines of animals that had eaten vegetable matter. But I do understand your point that they do not usually eat human type vegies. I mix chopped grass into food or just give fresh grass. Thanks for giving a great rounded out view & plenty of options for people in different situations. I agree, even if you feed cooked or grocery store raw meats it's far far better than processed foods. Your presentations are very thorough. (Just my own tips for beginners: Marked down raw meat from grocery can have alot of bacteria, maybe too much, even with washing, so be careful) Also it's good to start them out early on raw bones & continue un-interupted. If you adopt a dog or cat that may have been on a poor diet, their intestines/teeth can be comptomised & lead to punctures or broken teeth. I found this out the hard way.)

Hi, My cat needs "Annallergenic' cat food, the only one I can find in by Royal Canin. Would these recipes be okay? It is so hard to get more information on Annallergenic foods

Wish equivalent resources were listed for UK suppliers! I have not graduated to raw food (yet) and am struggling with appropriate supplements. Initially I used a you tube video from someone who really seemed to understand all the ins and outs of cat nutrition but using cooked turkey primarily. She DID grind the turkey bones - I kept the turkey bones separate and then ground them after cooking - and then sieved them to ensure that any sharp fragments could not be left in the cat food. Added ingredients included pumpkin, green beans, flax seed, wheat bran, kelp salmon oil ...and so on. Any information that would help me on my journey would be much appreciated.

Hey Jess great video as always! Quick question did you ever mention if you are/going to be a pet nutritionist?

A very small amount of veggies is needed or some greens like cat grass because a wild cat eats the contents of the animals stomach so a small amount is appropriate

I’ve been trying to transition my 2 cats to a raw diet, but Kyra, the female, only eats chicken breast a little bit cooked with the canned meat. The other cat, Set, male, doesn’t want to eat any meat, he would only nibble on some of the chicken, or tuna; he used to eat pork liver, kidneys and lungs, but stopped eating them since I traveled and couldn’t continue with the transition. Could you help me with advice on what to give them so they eat meat and can leave the processed food?
  • Does anyone know if a chicken wing could be seared for a few seconds on the outside? He's not huge on 100% raw but it wouldn't cook the bone right?

For the raw diets would I be able to pre portion out my cats meals and freeze them? I don’t know if thawing them out would have a negative impact or what but I feel like I’d have a better chance of sticking with feeding my cats a raw diet if I can make their meals in advance, because one thing that’s held me to dry food is the convenience. Which obviously isn’t a good excuse to not feed my cats well
  • I don’t understand all the extra taurine being added. There is sufficient taurine in dark turkey meat or in octopus. They don't need much

I have a question i hope someone is able to help: How do we deal with the bacterial infection risks for our cats with the raw meat and fish? I'd really like to feed raw but it's very hard to find flash frozen meat and fish. I have plenty of access to fresh protein. I also don't have a flash freezer. Can I freeze it beforehand and thaw it? Is that even safe? My cat has digestive issues related to Felv, and the vet recommended a raw diet for her specific situation, but i am trying to understand the risks associated with feeding homemade raw meals vs flashfrozen raw meals ordered from specific barf websites
