  • The fact there's a scene in mask of deception in which you just go to the market to buy vegetables and straight up nothing else happens there is why I love these games. There's this scene of absolute peace, taking a break to see their culture and to hang out with friends in between the war and political intrigue. That made the game special to me, beyond every other RPG. I remember the journey to the capital dearly, my favourite intro to an RPG game ever. But that's also the reason I can't recommend it to my friends, I know they would fall asleep to that lol Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

    I played Mask of Deception and definitely enjoyed it. I agree that the fanservice was cringey/annoying, although I tried to take a "cozy" mindset when it came to slice of life stuff. I hope to play Mask of Truth in the future, since the politics and world are definitely solid
