I so admire this young man’s courage.   To my mind, one’s sexual orientation is similar to being right- or left-handed. Irrational homophobia causes so much psychological suffering and pain (as in Jacob’s case). This young man is NOT one of the world’s problems, but homophobia IS.   On the EVIDENCE of the science of the matter, Jacob can no more change his sexual orientation than any of us can change the colour of our skins.   With this I send a special comforting hug for you, Jacob.

I feel like I'm seeing myself in the mirror. I'm 31. I have not come out yet to my family. But I have come out to my closest friends. I loved hearing this, Jacob!

this guy is so cute. is it possible not to love him ???
  • JACOB -- Simple, quietly eloquent, direct, honest, and very moving. Good for you. I am a 70-year-old American now living in Great Britain. And yes, I love you back. -- Donald in Cardiff

You are an amazing human being. You have every right to be proud of who you are. The world is a better place because of your sincerity, your courage, your humanity . You are a gift to mankind.

Jacob,  You brought tears to my eyes. You are such a beautiful person outside, but most of all INSIDE. I hope you have people in real life you can talk to and celebrate who you are. All the best!!

I know your video is over a year old but I just saw it for the first time. I have so much respect and adoration for you that I'm not sure I can even put it into words. Thank you so much for sharing your story and such a pivotal moment in your life. This was so powerful I felt like you were talking directly to me. And all of the positive comments after just made this whole experience worth while. You truly made my night. God Bless and best of luck!!

  • @garysdeskcom
You come across as a very sensitive person. I do not see how anybody could hate you for not being straight. My hope is that, in time, you will come to really love your sexuality and yourself. Big virtual hug.

I have watched many coming out videos, but yours touched me the most out of them all. Even as an out guy, this video made me cry. You put so much emotion in this video. Thank you for posting it, not for me, but for others who haven't found the strength yet.
  • @cardoman87
Wow! I felt goosebumps!!! The way you speak to the camera and the way you show your feelings really got me. I could feel your despair and your need to show the world who you are without hiding and without faking... Seeing you like that makes me want to hug you, to show you there are people that can accept *you*, however you are. You seem like a sensitive, beautiful human being and i'm sure someday you'll find the man of your dreams. Greetings from Argentina!
  • @leotred
Love from Holland! I am impressed by the way you express yourself, choosing and tasting your words as you move through your story. Beautiful. I wish you a fearless life!
  • @bonuccicris
Of course I love you back! It couldn't be otherwise. Wearing your heart on your sleeve like you did on this video almost made me stretch my arms towards the monitor, wanting to hug you. I don't know if you're in a relationship at the moment, but if you are, he's the most fortunate guy on the planet.
  • @fneigh5
This video sends out a message that is immortal, about love, about people and about acceptance. This video is a representation of everything I have hope for in this world. Thank you Jacob you are amazing. We love you.
  • I am sure that your courage and your honesty will bring comfort and courage to many other young people. Thank you for this. You did an incredible and articulate job of being who you are. Anyone who fails to love that was never worth your love to begin with.
  • @bradleyhays4218
You have just spoken the words that have been going thru my head for so long. You are a beautiful person!!
  • @markm6488
I am 50yrs old now, and I come from the same background, so I can see just where you are are coming from. It makes me happy to see young people like you who have escaped from that prison, and have done it while they are still young. god bless you. ( the real God, not the one in peoples religion, the one that said love one another, as I have loved you.) mark

I really admire your strength and bravery. I seriously almost cried, out of happiness than you could accept yourself and out of sadness that we in some people eyes will longer be looked on as human. But times flows on and the sands are changing, which makes be hope for a better future. Thank you for your story.
