📉😔 Why My Views Dropped on YouTube…

I used to watch Annie’s videos immediately when they dropped last year but then she made a video saying she was going to stop making the videos about YouTube growth which was the reason many of us watched her channel in the first place. That video led to the gradual decline of the channel till date. Lesson: make videos of things you love and if you realize that your audience on YouTube love those videos, stick to that and not change, if not your story might not be different.

You're not alone....I've seen dozens of channels with 100k subs getting not even 1000 views per upload. Something is broken for sure

Make what you love, accept the sponsorships you love, i think you could drive yourself crazy focusing on the analytics all the time ❤

I am going through the same thing - I started my channel as one thing and have (in my opinion) evolved into something else over time and my views have dropped severely BUT my retention is amazing and my Tribe is literally like family to me. Sometimes it isn't about the views, it just depends on the creator. I love the interaction and the feeling of community and the ability to make what I want more than I love the views. I am thankful for this channel because Annie has some very very good insight and points.

I mean you can assume all that if you want but honestly I think YouTube is going through some real changes because a few counts are down everywhere and subscribers! The CEO stepped down about two months ago. Also these YouTube shorts are killing the algorithm in a bad way

Was happy to hear your honesty about your channel and your positive attitude going forward. We have been experiencing the exact same drop in views on videos especially this year and it bothered us at first as to what were we doing wrong but hear many creators are going through the same thing. Lot of our faithful long time viewers tell us that You Tube recommends many other videos that they are not really interested in but keep getting the suggestions and others have said that they thought we quit making videos because You Tube wasn't notifying them of our new videos anymore. We know that nothing stays the same and have to adapt to changes just like every other creator but at least our subscribers should be notified of any new content. Subscriber count use to mean something but we notice now that many of our views are coming from non subscribers, so kind of surprised about that. I follow certain channels that have content not related to ours and have noticed if I don't watch them for awhile due to being busy or whatever, I don't get notified of their channel at all, so things have changed. You are so right about just having fun and going back to the reason why you were making videos and not worrying about the rest. I am subscribed to your channel but have not seen notifications from you until today for some reason. Sorry for the long comment and wanted to say, that I enjoy your topics.
