"But that sounds like hard work--" OF COURSE IT IS. Thanks for making this, Kab. So many people miss out just from being afraid of hard work or outright of failure. Gotta fail before you can succeed after all. Behind every successful content creator is endless failure and learning experiences especially.
  • Amazing advice! Seriously. It really does take hard work and finding your way onto other platforms and not just doing Twitch, because it's true when people say Twitch isn't great for discovery. Even for people with platforms elsewhere first.

This was actually a great motivator to getting back to uploading content onto tiktok and the like. This was a good reminder that it's a waste and a shame when good footage goes to waste by not being utilized properly. The big problem I've had in the past when dealing with those sites is when I've put my best effort into making a really good clip that I can be proud of and it gets minimal views, then meanwhile a clip that I put minimal effort into gets all of the attention. When that happens, it's a real motivation killer, you know? The algorithm can be a pain to work with.
  • This was an extremely informative and motivating video Kab! I always enjoy conversations like this, so I'll definitely be here for it if/when you make more! haha Content creation IS really hard work, but it can also be super rewarding! <3
  • Thank you for making such great educational content. The amount of catharsis I get from some of your videos is huge. I really appreciate you putting this in videos I can share with people
  • Your laugh tho- it's iconic. Thank you a lot for the advices ! Let'ssssss level up all of dat.

Thanks kab, for sure things ive come to find on my own but its always good to have it put out into more consise thoughts, expecally when you are feeling stuck and lost. More then anything I like the idea that you should not neglet your own enjoyment as a content creator and to take that and project that outwards.
  • Thank you for this! You helped me make a decision I've been struggling with for a while. I know that everyone's road to success is different, but your idea of starting on YouTube makes so much sense.
  • @RinkaVT
I like the idea of entertaining yourself, but projecting that enjoyment outwards to be shared with your audience. Great video for sure.
  • While I've been messing with other platforms, it was nice hearing more specifics like tailoring content. Thank you for the help, great video!

Wowie - I just found out you have a youtube channel! I love how detailed you get for community building - it's something I've been wanting to learn & improve upon as I want to create a community focused on supporting each other to pursue their creative goals. I hope to use the tips you gave to improve my community. Thank you for the video!!

Sooo so correct! My sibling tried some streaming on twitch and got upset they weren't getting a lot of viewers. It also can take TIME, not everyone grows at the same exact time. You always crack me up in your streams and chat is so chaotic confused but not very toxic! Ty for being your purple noodle man self.
  • I've been wanting to start my vtubing for a while. I have art, setting up a model, loads of draft plans but never knew where to start and how to grow. So, this has been a great help in setting up. Thank you Kabhaal.
  • Honestly as someone whos getting into content creation myself, i needed this, appreciate it man.
  • @henteye46

  • @xerakera7553
Honestly one of the better vids on the topic that I've seen. Thanks Kab ❤
  • @LordofSouth
one of the best informant videos about communities i have seen so far
  • @ford5195
Ty out of all the videos i have seen. This is the 1st that actually had some good advice. I stream, and this has given me some good ideas and to try and improve.
  • @GreysTavern
Thanks for this Kab. I've struggled a lot with feeling like I pigeon holed myself into one small niche and that I'd never grow as a result. The "entertain yourself" thing I think is the advice I needed to hear the most. It seems so obvious but it doesn't always click to "make content you would enjoy watching". I hope when I redebut in a few weeks that I can put some of this into practice and get a fresh start all around.
  • @WoodyDevs
This was actually really validating. I did YouTube for a year before starting twitch streams, and so far it's been going really well.
