Do you like Mr Kitty? His early work was a little too depressing for my tastes, but when Life came out in '2014, I think he really came into his own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a dark and moody sound, with a sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Basshunter, but I think Mr Kitty has a far more bitter, cynical message in his music. Later in 2014, Mr Kitty released this, Time, his most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "After Dark", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the letting down your vulnerability, and the shortness of life, it's also a personal statement about Mr Kitty himself.

This song perfectly suits the story. It's easy to be seduced by the memes and the satirical nature of American Psycho and to see it all as just a mere joke, but the book in particular really encapsulates the madness and despair of certain individuals, their suffering and the viciousness with which they inflict it on the world around them. This music video is excellent.
