Bad news. The march 6th patch notes state that the water bottle essance trade is getting fixed.

Yay, Nightingale! Not as quick as this, but if they fix this: Simple rock marbles give WAY more Essence dust than the rocks used to craft them. You can get tons. Not for free, but... for bebbles, so almost free :-) It takes a while tho. Firespark's method is quicker and easier of course.

Water bottle from the essence trader is best. 10 essence to buy. Breaks down to 40 essence.

There should be a T1 Essence spam that you could do, I'm just not sure if breaking down T1 materials would give that since it always gives dust unless you craft green tier items. You can't craft Lv40 items btw, seems like you are forced down the path to craft low level, upgrade using essence to higher tiers. T1 materials don't give T1 essence I think due to crafting recipes using the same baseline materials (the higher tiers simply allows for better stats, not higher quality levels).

Just tried to do this for some t1 essence farm but you reset the portal, input the same cards and it says 'reopen portal' not giving a new realm but one you have done. Was an update today so maybe changed? It sent to one I've had open since yesterday XD

I just did this three times and the portal never reset. I am doing the Desert Card along with the Antiquarian Card. Crafted a few of both. Went in and did the Fae Tower the first time, never got any essences. Went back to my Respite, reset the portal, put two new cards in of the same thing. And it didn't reset. Am I doing something wrong?

There is a much easier way to get all the essence you need. Once you find the essence trader. The first thing you want to do is set up a table saw. Chop down a tone of trees, your companion will do this automatically, take the wood bundles and turn them into paper. Turn all that paper in essence and go buy all the stuff you want. I never run out of trees because the big blue ghostie fey critter comes by ever couple of days and regenerates the living resources.
