The Glitch Apocalypse

for those who don't know, that pink and black checkerboard effect appears in games when a texture fails to load on an object. A lot of old games had this pink and black *corrupted texture * backup texture for some reason, in newer games, when a texture doesn't load, you'll simply see white or black.

Dude, I have fallen in LOVE with the style of these Super Mario 64 Machinimas, the fact that they are well made. Dunno why, but the glitch effect sorta slightly reminded me of Corridor Digital's "The Glitch" video from almost a decade ago, guessing because of the plot where one (or a group of others) see a glitch in the occurance, spreading like a virus until one has to restart everything by fixing the problem, and sacrificing themselves onto the situation in hand by an ultimate reset. I love what you do Jacob, it's pretty amazing, holy crap.

You clearly have a unique style that defines the limits of SM64 story videos.

I'm glad that you still use the lanky Luigi model as opposed to that newer one that came out more recently. It feels more like Luigi to me. And wow, that was a ride! I always get a kick out of your uploads!

Who knew SM64 ran on Source ;) Cartridge tilting is no joke. Really good video, I love the use of Blender for the environment. Really gives you greater control over the textures.

This video has appeared in my recommended again after three year and can I just appreciate how wholeome and simple it is. If it was made by anyone else in the past year or so they'd probably try to make it some kinda creepypasta-related story like the Wario Apparition rather than letting it be its own thing.
