  • Great vid, great build. Excellent way to show that it doesn't take expensive tools or a custom workshop to make a complex piece. I didn't mind the music, unlike some others, but to each their own. Keep building and keep growing your skills!

Young lady. I've watched countless videos on murphy bed builds and must say, your's is by far the easiest and informative to follow along. Great job.

You go, girl! This is awesome! As a fellow female wood-worker, I love to see others like me creating and killing it! Keep it up!
  • @cindywagner4623
I love that you have all these tools and your daughter is coming in and out watching her powerful strong Mom building something amazing. Good job.
  • Holy cow that’s by far the best looking Murphy bed I’ve seen on YouTube. And thanks for the tutorial on how to do it without spending a ton on hardware!!

Awesome work! Makes my heart so happy to see young women “getting things done” from an much older diy’er woman 🎖 🥇🦋

Love it. My wife has been dying to have a murphy bed for years. But ... that music though.
  • As someone who does a lot of woodworking, I'm impressed you did this by "eye" without any plans. I like the idea of the swivels as the mechanism. So much easier and clever than the "professional" types. I was also impressed by the detail you went through when assembling. Well done!
  • “If you’re not rich, you have to be creative” and I’m seeing a lot of creativity here. I love that this is done with probably a cell phone, on a cheap tripod, on a shaky deck. It gets rid of all of the excuses people have when trying something new. Absolutely LOVE IT.

You are one handy-lady. I marveled at the precision of cutting those slanted pieces you used for design. Being a handy-lady myself I know this took some hardwork. I give it to you girl. You've gained an IG follower.💪

The professional Murphy Bed hardware kits have a spring tension mechanism, which allows you to lift and store the bed with one finger effort. The 'swivel plate mechanism' shown here is a great alternative for a bed that is used on a rare occasion for guests as long as you are strong enough to lift the end of the bed up to the wall. Perfect for a home office room that needs to double as a guest room on occasion.

Your presentation was impressive ... You made me feel like I could actually feel secure with myself to attempt to build a murphy bed. You are a "Great instructor"!

Didn't expect this to come up, but watched to the end. My partner bought me my own drill for my birthday, and I have access to a lot of equipment. You're my hero. I want to make things!
  • You go girl! I am truly impressed! I’ve been wanting a murphy bed but refuse to spend thousands of dollars and wondered how I could make one🤔 I will dare to attempt this project! Thank you! Oh how could I forget..I loved the finished detail and floating shelves on the back end of the bed! You rock! God bless your endeavors!🦋

this is EXACTLY what I need in my guest room !! it is simple, but gorgeous !! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it !!! Congratulations on an amazing build, great video and getting the room back when you need it !!

Nice build. I really like the herringbone pattern. That turned out great. I had to laugh at myself when you installed the T-nut. I have been doing that wrong for years. I have always driven them in with a hammer. Your way is much better. Thanks for teaching an old man something new.

You could probably have the music at the same level as your voice, when it plays on its own. The difference is like "going to a commercial" on cable. Good on you for getting the bigger cuts done at home Depot. If they mess up the cuts you get new pieces. Easier to transport cut pieces, and it makes a project more accessible.
  • Great job. Budget is just as important as any other aspect of a project. You did a wonderful job and I’m encouraged that there are young women interested in carpentry. I have been doing woodworking for sixty years and never grow tired of the next project. Congrats!
  • Not beginner, this took skill, forethought and lots of accurate measuring! Great job! Inspiring, thank you for sharing.
