I also met my husband in 6th grade (that was 32yrs ago this September 😮) but we didn't get together until the end of our senior year. Once we got together things moved really fast. We were engaged a month later and 15 months after that we got married. This September we will celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary.

What helps me clean is the feeling I have afterwards. I hate procrastinating and knowing that things will pile up if I don't get ahead of things, so I clean for the feeling of relief I get after

The best house cleaning motivation for me is knowing that someone is coming over. It's amazing how fast i can get things done!

Happy Monday Jamie and friends! The timer definitely is a motivator. Another motivator is taking it one thing at a time. I get overwhelmed automatically when I look at the room as a whole because I'm so focused on all the mess all over the room! Instead, I go in and start with one area of the room and focus solely on that one area, like a table. Once I get that area clean, I go to another area. Breaking things up piece by piece helps a lot!

Hate to say this but what sometimes motivates me to get up and clean is watching one of those "disaster house" cleaning channels. The ones where the house is a complete mess and there is stuff/food/toys/etc all over the place and the counters/surfaces are gross. Since my house isn't close to being that messy, it makes me feel better about how little I need to do to get my house clean and how quickly getting it clean will take as opposed to whoever I just watched trying to clean theirs. On the other hand, watching channels like yours where the house mess is similar to mine and really isn't that bad makes me want to get up and get it done so that I can relax and enjoy the feeling of knowing I am done for the day.

I don't enjoy cooking, and I really want to enjoy it. Something I never realized is the cleaning takes your energy away for cooking. My daughter has her house professionally cleaned. She and her husband have big careers. They come home and enjoy cooking. It is mostly their only home chore.

My hubby and I celebrated our 40th anniversary this past January. Plus 2 years we were just friends.

I have to literally set a day and time for myself. e.g. On Saturday @ noon I have to start my chores. Once I get started, I’m inclined not to stop. I plug into your channel, stream it on my TV and put my earbuds in and GO! And love your take on letting the kiddos clean as they feel. Growing up, I remember wanting to contribute and trying to clean. My mom would always go in behind me and re-make my bed. I remember being so frustrated by that.

I agree on the 15 minute timer. It gave me the motivation to keep going one day last week!

Music helps me want to clean when I don’t feel like it. I get more done it gives me a boost.

I think it’s the wall color in the small bathroom. Then add your wood shelves with black hardware, and a couple green plants. A cute little bench for the plant in the corner, target has cute ones in a wood color, hearth brand. Love your channel, thank you for being so real! ❤

I wish I could keep a routine like this. I work from home 2 days a week which is usually when I do most of the cleaning, but then it also can feel sooo overwhelming when I have so much to do in those 2 days. I do tidy as I go, usually, but there are some days where I don’t do a lick of cleaning. But, I’m doing my best and that’s all I can really hope for. Your videos are always super motivating though!!!

I REALLY love wallpaper in a powder room! I think it looks rich and chic no matter what your style is. Vertical stripes, leaves/floral, or even just a simple raised pattern on a mono-colored paper would look amazing! It's a cool way to make it look sophisticated without spending a ton of cash. Google some pics if you haven't seen that before and maybe you'll like it, too :)

I love the show Traitors! I haven't watched the second season yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I want to thank you for your honesty. I love when you said you hate cleaning your shower.
