Sensory items are a MUST for us when traveling.. things like Play dough and kinetic Sand help prevent unwanted meltdowns and/or overstimulation 🧩🙂
  • I just want to say thank you for this video and for actually having a channel that is so relatable I have 2 autistic sons and I am also on the spectrum and have adhd so its nice to get tips xxx

I can’t travel with my son anymore. I unbuckled my seatbelt to help my son during a meltdown whilst landing (the flight attendant wouldn’t allow us to keep the blind down whilst landing and we told them the sun through the window would wake him up) they said they ‘didn’t care’ if he has a meltdown and they called the police on us because I unbelted my seatbelt to help my son. They also wouldn’t land. This means he can never ever visit his family again, they all live abroad. This was 3 years ago. We went to a caravan last Halloween but he did quite a lot of damage to it. We are trying a drive to France (from London) next summer but we will need a Safe Space travel bed which costs 5k 😭 to stop my son hurting himself and damaging the Airbnb we are staying in. I hope you had a good trip😊

I love this, as someone who is currently getting a diagnosis for Autism this really helps, my brother also has autism and really struggles with travelling, I enjoy travelling but it certainly can be highly overwhelming so this helped a lot! Thanks :)

This was very helpfull I was diagnosed with autism last year and I am flying internationally in a few months and have been stressing out cause I have had HORRIBLE experience from before I was diagnosed. I am trying to make it as smooth as possible for me my meltdown are sometimes just that I get super nauseous but the airline usually just thinks I am trying to get a better seat and lying so I will definitely check out that card thing😊

With brands I definitely agree, I only eat Warburton bread for toast, I eat toast all the time

I’m so thankful I came across your channel. I have the 9 year old girl version of Dillon here at home. She also loves coding, everything you mention and talk about on your channel is her in a nutshell 😍❤️ your videos are so comforting and full of GOLD (valuable information). Thank you so much for being so real, raw and relatable.
