I find the republican party heart breaking these days, the way they have embraced such hate from the extreme right. I don't understand why they have changed so much from what I grew up with. I don't want to be in an ideological war with anyone one, but they leave no choice - either fight the extreme right or ignore them and let them take over. But I find it all so depressing to stay on topic for long and their tenacity is exhausting.

Ron Paul is a christian but is not singing to the same hymn sheet. He understands that you can not force morals on others with laws. @JAFrk If you look at the trend of elections...Republicans fair better when the voter turnout is low. This is why so many red states have recently passed restrictive voting laws.
